I really want to try the DKs now...my birthday's coming up...maybe I can justify the splurge :)

I've decided to keep the smaller of the M&O pants and hope they stretch a bit (or I lose a little weight...which I'm currently working on). The fabric is nice and for the price, I won't worry about wearing them for day to day activities. I would recommend them.

I haven't worn them around the house yet but plan to this week so I will let you know if my opinion changes!

I have plenty of clients in white bootcut DK jeans and they look fabulous. Extremely nice quality and fab cut for the curvier botty and thigh area.

Okay Angie, message received loud and clear!! :)

Patience, do you own any DKs? For sizing, I'd tend to go a tad bigger on these Nikki skinny jeans - I am trying the 6 (28) in them, but in their normal bootcut style I go with a 4 (27). They work fabulously well in disguising whatever pear-like tendencies I have ...

Dani, have you come to any conclusions on the M & O jeans?

Our Nordstrom didn't have the white David Kahns in store, so last week I wound up ordering them and of course they fit perfectly (figures!). So far, I am holding on to them without wearing them as I debate whether or not I can justify the purchase. DK seems to always be the best fit - I also own COH Elsons and they just don't look as good on me as DKs do.

Maybe I should just bite the bullet and keep them. As Angie says, if a little one smears banana on them, well, that's why God made washing machines

Hmm I bet they will stretch out. Maybe you can wear them around the house for a bit? My white J Crews stretched out a lot, especially after washing. But I have no experience with M+O, so I am no help - but I am also kind of tempted after your reports, considering the price.

Thanks for the update, Patience. I actually got my shipment today and I'm having a hard time deciding what to do. The denim is nice and feels good and the rise is decent. My problem is I'm between sizes...one size fits great everywhere but the waist is too large and the size down is a little snug but the waist fits great. I'm curious if anyone knows, do they stretch out any or should I go with the larger size and get the waist altered?

In my dream world (no kids or chance of errant unexpected stains) I would love to try these on as well as I'm pretty sure this is similar to the straight leg jeans I LOVE...
http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/30.....1&P=1

I will have to do some major stalking before I can justify this pair of jeans I'll be curious to hear your report on the Kahns, Patience.

I went and tried these jeans in store the other day. I didn't have a tape measure, but I tried both the slim style and the straight leg. I found the rise to be ~8-8 1/2 inches. The slim leg opening was probably 12-13" and the straight was 14-15." The fabric is nicely stretchy. Both pairs taper to the knee. They actually didn't have my size in the straight leg so I went ahead and ordered them. I figure for $50 it's worth a try. I've been wondering if premium is not necessarily better for white jeans. Having said that, I did spot these which I plan to try in store as well:

Oh, that 9" rise sounds just perfect, and 8.25" isn't bad either! Good luck, Ill be looking forward to hearing whether or not they work.

Laura, I ordered the bootcut (because they come in long) and I ordered the straight leg too (to see if I can stretch the length, I really need 33" to 34" inseam but I might be able to fudge with a straight leg).

The rise is in the size chart that's kind of difficult to find...the osa rise (bootcut) is 8.25 inches and the classic rise (straight leg) is 9". That's why I went ahead an ordered the straight leg anyway. I will be keeping my fingers crossed until the UPS package shows up on my doorstep!

Which ones did you order? Here's hoping they work!

The straight leg jean appears to have a slightly higher rise (although they didn't give measurements).

Hmmm, interesting! I tried on J Crew white bootcuts yesterday but they were a little too sheer for my taste. I'm curious about the M&O jeans now...

Laura, great score! I'm on the hunt for clams as my family is going to Disney and I don't want to worry about yanking my matchsticks up all day.

I tried on the skinny cords & jeans back in the fall and they seemed great. The rise was a bit low for me so I bought a pair of the bootcut cords which have held up really well. I really like the quality and styles at this store - just wish they offered more for petites!

I did find a fantastic pair of cropped dark denim pants by Halogen at Nordstrom Rack this weekend, and I'll have them shorted to clamdigger length. They cost $7! So at least I have one pair of bottoms for spring!
