Tried on some heels, was tempted to buy some but realized that my slacks would definitely not be PPL with heels. I did buy a nice winter dress though! I need to take pictures of it and see if it works.</p> <p>I'll post pictures of my potential interview outfit when I'm back in Chicago. My slacks and dressier flats are there.</p> <p>I applied to a couple more jobs today and did start working on my portfolio. The portfolio is going to take quite a few hours to put together. I took my David Kahn jeans to the tailor -- actually, I have a new pair of skinnies that I wanted hemmed for a 1-2" heel and and an older pair of bootcuts that I wanted hemmed for flats. I was so nervous that they would make them too short that I only managed to entrust them with the bootcuts. My skinnies came home with me untouched. So I share your important worries :)</p> <p>Yes, you should make your portfolio in a nice binder with some sort of closure. They have binders with plastic sleeves that you slide the papers into -- maybe Pearl would have a good selection. I need to learn how to put together a portfolio... should it be in some sort of binder or what?
