It seems like the perfect setting! I've never been, but I imagine there's lots of plaid and polar fleece and rugged, stubbly faces. I like a neatly trimmed beard too, although it's true that it suits some men more than others. And some actually look BETTER with facial hair. </p> <p>Julie (RoseandJoan? Hercule Poirot, anyone?</p> <p>Sandy, my hubby's ability to grow a beard is a relatively recent phenomenon. He turns 40 next week. Even now the side parts are really patchy, although the chin and mustache parts are now quite full. It helps that his hair is dark. At the moment he looks quite like Johny Depp. When we met, at around age 22, he tried to grow a mustache and goatee, and gave up because it was all sparse and his mustache didn't even meet in the middle. (A split mustache is rarely a good look!). He tries every couple of years and it's usually a horrible disaster. I am not a fan of a mustache, though my DH has a full (neatly trimmed!) beard. He has a long face and it suits him.</p> <p>One of the most prominent attorneys in town here has a beard down to his belt, often braided. His whole office is partaking in the facial hair festivities. Well, the men, at least. What can I say -- it's for a good cause. </p> <p>What do you gals think of Movember? Do your men participate? And do you think that there is any man on the planet, excluding Tom Selleck, who can wear a mustache and look good?</p> <p>(If I could grow one, I'd do a massive handlebar.
