He said it was X miles from the Canadian border and X miles from the state border. That would have put it in NE Washington state, north of Spokane, Washington. I grew up not in but VERY near to the town where Twin Peaks was shot. I've eaten pie at the cafe, played volleyball at the (real life) high school, and hiked in the mountains nearby. B's parents live there now, and we used to occasionally catch a showing at the single-screen movie theater in the historic downtown area.<br /> Never saw the show myself until a couple of years ago - my parents were huge fans when it was originally on. In some ways, he's the worst crime-solver I've seen. Still, the way he luxuriates in simple pleasures like pie, coffee, and the great outdoors is nothing short of adorable, and he makes a great "innocent eye" narrator. </p> <p>Agent Cooper is rarely seen without his white shirt and a tie (often red), but since I don't own a tie, I went for a serious black and white look punctuated by red shoes. The gold heart necklace recalls the half-heart pendant found with Laura Palmer, the center of the Twin Peaks mystery. </p> <p>To me, this outfit says, "Hey, just because you're here to investigate a murder doesn't mean you can't stop and have a little dessert break."
