I have a 10X mirror that I got at Nordstrom's years ago. As time goes on I need the magnification more and more. The brand is Magic Focus.

A really nice hotel I like to stay in when we go to Portland Maine, has a mirror like Lannie is talking about. I always said that when I redid my master bathroom, I was going to incorporate one of those mirrors. I like the magnified side for eyebrow tweezing.

My friend, after staying at the same hotel, did redo her bathroom and got a mirror like it at Bed, Bath and Beyond. (or maybe it was Linen and Things). Anyway, I think the magnified side is 10X, and it is lighted. but if you are not doing a bathroom overhaul, running electricity to the mirror could be a pain.

My mom has a mirror that's actually attached to the wall in the bathroom, and it has an arm that can extend and move around. It has 2 sides, one a regular mirror and one magnified. I'm not sure where she found it, but it is the handiest thing ever- great for tweezing eyebrows or putting on eyeliner. Plus, you can check the back of your hair with it by looking in the big mirror.
Like so:
http://www.amazon.com/Jerdon-F.....B0009953JA

Nancy, did you try the conair one that has three mirrors like this?
http://www.amazon.com/Conair-T.....038;sr=1-6

Here's another one I ran across that's a little more $ wise but seemed to get good reviews:
http://www.amazon.com/Infiniti.....038;sr=1-8

I have no experience with either but if you do a search on amazon, there are quite a few options. I'm sure you could search other stores as well.

Nancy,

I'm sorry, but I don't use makeup mirrors (Just the bathroom mirror). I have a small handheld size from Sephora that I carry in my purse and it has a magnified and regular option.

Have you considered tinting your blonde lashes? With Angie's encouragement, I did this this past summer, and I have really been impressed. You will be amazed at how much easier it is to see your lashes!

Just a thought. Good Luck!

I have difficulty putting on my eye makeup without my glasses (blonde eyelashes). Am looking for ideas on good magnifying makeup mirrors, perhaps lighted (not sure on that). I think the magnification needs to be at least 7X. Tried the Conair one and its OK but not as good as I had hoped. Any ideas you all have is much appreciated.
