I'm "collecting" blush, too. I really like it, but I've struggled to find it. All I have is a blush bag I bought last spring hoping there'd be more (but it works great with neutrals, so it hasn't gone to waste). My mom bought a blush nail polish for me and I ADORE it. I'm starting to think that just a touch of blush is all I need. I've always been more of a red person than a pink person, after all. ;-)

I bet this is a great colour on you, unfrumped. Strawberry Frozen Yoghurt. Wave to Firecracker. She OWNS this shade and has a cupboard full of it. I have the clutch on order, so will keep you posted.

Most of my colours are in fashion at the moment, so no problem there. Tomato red, citron, yellow, shocking pink, blush, deep orange, watermelon, white, cream, ink blue, light blue, cognac, rust and a smattering of black. Finding them in items that I love is trickier. I am sick of seeing stuff I love in black and shades of grey. Designers and buyers need to think further than those neutrals.

My turquoise - like the border of our website - is a little harder to find, and quote the HEWI. I found my Furla in it last year though!

Old navy had lots in this color this winter. They call it Icelandic Mineral. I bought several pieces and love it with black, camel, olive, denim, navy, charcoal, rust and burgundy. http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/.....ic+mineral

I love that color, too. I'd like to find it in a long-sleeved tee, preferably with a long tail and a somewhat swingy shape or fluid fit. So far I haven't seen one. Darker shades of this same hue, going toward a deep dusty eggplant like the boyfriend jeans I have (below) are also on my wish list.

lisap, these Anthro "joggers" (worn without the self-tie belt) are actually olive IRL and do look good with the mauvy (mauvey?) blush; it seems "warmer" than my mostly cool palette but works, prob I am partly neutral.

rabbit, did you see this from BR in "tipo" which is pearl gray or off-white. The texture of it helps it look richer, I think. I also have a similar color BR linen sweater from last year so I'm thinking they "do" this color intermittently. I found the RL pearl blazer a little more chalky than I like, again, texture and some tweediness help this color work better for me, but could not resist lined silk for a 3-season jacket.

I'm not answering your question, but i have to say how much I'm intrigued by your colour paired with olive/army green. I am envisioning an outfit with a pretty blouse, that bag you've shown, my army green pants, and some great jewellery. Great idea - thanks! Lol.

btw - I love teal too, but it's rarely at retail . Comes and goes with what is considered on-trend I guess.

I love this color in it's clearer (less grayed/browned) incarnation like in the Banana Republic shirt. I agree it is a great near neutral that works in many of the places pale lilac, softest pink, white, and pale gray would. I made the mistake of trying it in skinnies though, and it matched my legs too closely.

When shopping for something like this I have to remember to wear my other items of that color to the store if I'm wanting to find sympathetic matches (for example between a top and clutch). What is your elusive shade of teal?

I keep a lookout for pearl gray (near white but in a cool gray, I have it in a bag, cardigan, and jeans).

A color that works well on me but I very rarely see so I haven't tried to accumulate any are clearer greens, from leaf green to dark hunter green. Mint is kind of too light, and cool olive works but not as well as hunter.

The same with cobalt/electric purple. Clearer than eggplant, purpler than cobalt.

Then again I'm not totally sure how well these colors would work with my existing neutrals (besides espresso brown).

I would love to try this color but am really not sure what to pair it with. Have seen it with burgundy but it needs to be the right shade to work for me. I'm actually crushing on plums and berries lately which, now that I think if it, would look great with mauve.

I am still crushing on this color, which is almost a HEWI because most blush colors are much warmer and peachy.

It is JFE compared to medium-dark colors, but is better than most shades of white, so is a very useful nearly-neutral.

I know there are other fabbers who have elusive colors or ones that aren't typically done in certain items--like the BR citron coat.

I am still "collecting" it, mostly trying to have something in different categories--shell, cardi, pullover--and also feature it in scarves. Scarves are also more flexible, since bits of warmer blush in a print work in the palette; but for solids or larger expanses, the cooler blush-mauve color is important.

Have not pulled the trigger on the blush clutch, but it was in my cart before Angie showed it! I had searched by color. Wonder how the color translates IRL. I could use even a cool beige. But, may not need another clutch.

Another not so HEWI color I've had trouble finding is a really good teal. Just not seeing "my" shade of it much this past year or so.

Over to you--what HEWI colors are you currently "collecting"?
