Long story, but the reader's digest condensed version goes something like this.</p> <p>I've been tasked with creating written content for my hair sorceress, Jade, and I've also been tasked with a write-up on her business partner (that Jade intends to submit to 'D' magazine, so absolutely NO PRESSURE AT ALL). As that was happening, DH said he was contemplating selling our house and moving further out into the middle of nowhere, and I decided that was the end of the road for me. I've followed him further and further out into the middle of nowhere and only become more and more miserable as a result, and I am not doing it any more. I've put my desires and dreams on hold for too long, and when Jade asked me to write for her I thought about how so many of you have been encouraging me to write and I said yes.</p> <p>My marriage has been on life support since before we got married, but health issues and medication issues and hormonal insanity had all combined to make me apathetic about it. Health issues have settled down and the hormonal mood swings are under control, and I've been feeling more alive with each passing week. I'm excited about flexing my writing muscles, and I'm excited about getting to do so for Jade, which means hair shows and barber battles and all that fun stuff.</p> <p>I suppose the most shocking part of it is Doc. Doc was the straw that broke the camel's back. He and I were interested in each other, but nothing had happened between us. When DH figured out I had a crush on an employee, he fired the kid and kicked him off the property and dumped Doc in Louisiana with all his stuff. I decided that if I was going to be treated like I had actually cheated when I hadn't, and Doc was going to get treated like he had had an affair with the boss's wife, then we were going to actually do what we had been falsely accused of.</p> <p>Fast forward a bit: Doc and I have moved in together, he's letting me straighten his hair and choose his clothes when we go somewhere, he cooks for me, he makes me laugh, and we enjoy each other's company. We are currently looking at moving closer to the city, and I've applied for a transfer to one of my company's locations near Dallas (it would also be a promotion), and Doc's skillset and educational background in a kitchen mean he can get a job anywhere we land if we do move.</p> <p>I've been enjoying getting dressed when I'm not at work, and look forward to actually posting some WIWs soon. I've found ways to feel pretty, and cool, and yet still stay true to my style moniker (avenging angel). I've also enjoyed having a life sized dress-up doll in Doc, because he let's me pick his outfits and straighten his hair LOL</p> <p>Anyway, I just wanted to fill you in, and let you know that I'm actually enjoying fashion and style again. I'm looking forward to diving back into the forum and see what you guys have been up to! </p>
