I tried to polish it like shoes, with saddle soap— but accidentally used black polish instead. Stained something awful! I usually clean them as soon as I see a spot on them and condition the leather maybe once a year. I condition the leather about every 10th wear. They just clean with a damp cloth. On this one, you may also be concerned about the belt getting grubby.
