Looks pretty natural on me but it's not super pigmented or staining. Just yesterday I spent time at the cosmetic counter trying various longlasting lipsticks. In the spring, I had gotten one from Smashbox (Disorderly), which on me looks deep orange and is very matte, very covering). So I was on a hunt for one with more pink tones. I finally got one I really love - but it was also sadly very expensive. It was Chanel Rouge Allure in Créatif which is a coral-pink nude that looks surprisingly classy on me (one would never guess from the color on the wand). Their "Amoureux" color (140) is pretty close to the perfect nude too. I will certainly check out Mac's Twig now after having read your description.&nbsp;<b><br /></b><br /><b>Annagybe</b> - I remember the Mac "Viva Glam" shade (very red) being all the rage, but there was also a Matte one in a taupy tone with its side-kick, the ubiquitus Mac lip&nbsp;pencil in "Spice". I managed to completely destroy my last tube (no beagle necessary!) by somehow crushing it in my bag. I should prob get a new tube. I usually need a kind of nearly- nude with a little color and have a trusty one for everyday. Thought this would be similar, really and maybe just a dupe.<br /> To my surprise it's deeper than I thought but still a bit subdued. It's my perfect " red" and a great going- out shade, especially when I'm wearing black and need more lip color- haha,<br /> while forcothers it's their subtle daytime work color! Lipsticks I used to wear for " events" now are too red or purple, if colorful, and if dark enough but more neutral, are too brown. For some reason, the Twig IS a browny- pink type but looks rosier and slightly plummy without being garish( to my eye). </p> <p>I can't remember if it's been reviewed here, but I suspect others have tried it. For me it's just the right amount of drama, but comfortable, that lets me toss out some that were no longer working. </p>
