Just wanted to mention you might want to check out Blank denim. The quality and cut is very good, but the prices are much less than other designer jeans. Remembered this because I was wearing mine yesterday, the size for which, incidentally, ran a little big.

Mac--Make up shades, great that you found your shade and useful information

Jeans-You are right, lots of them look really baggy. That's wonderful! Congrats on the weight loss. I think the 26 rich and skinny high waist rise were the nicest on you.

Pearls-Neat necklace.

Conversation-Quite disturbing!

Angie, I am curious about what is brewing in your head. Do the 26's here look too tight to you? Don't worry about disappointing me. I'd rather wear the bigger, well-fitting size than the smaller ill-fitting size!

About the jeans, I have 7FAMk Roxanne and I find them TTS and Rich&Skinny High straight which run one size small.

Oh, my Rich and Skinny high waisted skinny jeans definitely fit better in a 27 than in the 26. The High straight leg jeans are loose and the Earnest Sewn straight legs are also loose (they are a 28 but run small). They are definitely not as baggy as the ones in these pictures though. That's why I thought maybe they are mismarked. Although, I"m not sure if it's reasonable to say that all the jeans on the rack are mismarked...

But the Rock & Republic jeans are loose too. I have never tried that brand though, so I have no idea how they run.

Tam, she tried a foundation on me, which I'm not too hot on, but as long as I know my color now, I can explore other lines. I had no idea if I was warm or cool. I thought I was neutral because I couldn't tell. MAC has cool, neutral-cool, neutral, neutral warm, and warm colors. But it's kind of confusing. If you have warm skin, you would actually use the cool makeup, to help balance your skin tone. She told me to think of it as being "not cool" rather than "neutral cool." The cool and warm refers to the makeup color, not the color of the person wearing it. I don't know if that makes any sense. For that reason my shade was neutral cool, because it cancels out the warmth in my skin. So I am neutral with slightly golden/olive tones.

Taylor, I'm sure they have a laundry list of celebrities memorized for each makeup shade who are just as lovely as Penelope and Kim. Nothing to do with me personally...

That necklace was made for you Angie.

I think I'm mostly a 26. The Roxannes fit spectacularly in a 26. I'm kind of obsessed with them now. The ones I tried were regular rise though, which is too low for me. Major bottom cleavage. But these are delicious and on sale and in my size and I want them NOW! Stupid shopping ban :(

Ooh did you know that you were warm toned before, or did you think you were cool? All this warm and cool business confuses me. Do Mac make a tinted moisturiser like you were looking for, or only the foundation?

Wow you are right - those jeans are bagging off you bigtime!! Do your current jeans fit better than that?? I think the Rich and Skinny 26's look pretty awesome on you though actually if thats any help.

Just had to give you epic congratulations on the weight loss, Maya!! Jeans are the most validating things. And I think you can safely disregard your mislabelling theory if close to a dozen jeans all fit within the same range. You rule, that's all. :)

Oh, there is one more thing I just wanted to rant briefly about:

While I was trying on my jeans, the woman in the next fitting room had her approximately 9 year old daughter with her, and was asking her opinion on the clothes she was trying on. So far so good. However, she was asking her daughter what she had on was "sexy" and her daughter was making suggestions about how she should wear a lacey bra so it peeked out of the dress. Am I just prudish or is that WEIRD?

The daughter was apparently trying stuff on too, and said something about how one of the things she tried on was an XS. The mom made some unintelligible comment, and the daughter replied by saying how hard she had worked to fit into an XS. I repeat: She could not have been more than 10 years old.

Even though I was happy at my jeans experience, I was twitching while overhearing this conversation.

I did three things today, two of which involve Mac (cosmetics) and Mac (Apple).

No, I haven't bought my computer yet, but I thought the geeks among us might like to know that I have decided antiglare is superior to glossy and worth the additional $150.

Then I went to the MAC counter at Macy's. The woman who "helped" me was initially not very helpfull. I told her flat out that I am clueless about makeup, so what does she do? Takes me to a case of lipstick and asks me to pick the color I want. Um...

Anyway, eventually we did land on a shade I liked (Charismatic, which is a nice terra cotta brown), and she was able to accurately match my skin. Hooray. Now at least I know I am warm-toned, and should look at Kim Kardashian and Penelope Cruz for inspiration. There is a start. I didn't buy anything because the other kind of Mac is first on my list of priorities, but at least now I'm armed with all the information I need. I'm not sure if I would get that specific product (it was a foundation), but as long as I know my color I think I'm set.

The last thing I did was go to the Rack and try on a bunch of jeans. Not to buy, but to see what size I currently wear. I even took pictures for records, so you could all see what I saw and confirm it.

These are a pair of Rich and Skinnies in a 27. 27 is the size I was before I lost weight, with some 27's being a little snug. I think these definitely run on the large size (either that or they are mislabeled), but still, enormous on me.

http://img.photobucket.com/alb.....63febf.jpg

These are the 26's which are still rather big, but I didn't even bother taking any 25's in with me because it was inconceivable to me that I might fit in a pair of 25's.

http://img.photobucket.com/alb.....a719ea.jpg

Rock & Republic 26:

http://img.photobucket.com/alb.....efacf2.jpg

Rock & Republic 27:

http://img.photobucket.com/alb.....d6b74a.jpg

These are all Rich and Skinny 26's. The first pair is divine. High waist and skinny leg. Both of them gave me some degree of muffin top though. I think the high rise ones run small because I'm pretty sure they are the ones I already own, which still fit in a 27. The others were just too low rise.

http://img.photobucket.com/alb.....4647d5.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/alb.....9bef0d.jpg

One more R&R, 26. Again, too low rise for me but they fit.

http://img.photobucket.com/alb.....576f5a.jpg

I also tried on the 7FAM Roxannes and the 26 was an absolute dream. I really want the high waist Roxannes now. Do they run TTS, for those of you that have them? I am still sort of in denial. I kept thinking all of these jeans must be mismarked and that is how they ended up at the Rack. Or I must have picked up the wrong pair. I just can't wrap my head around this. Not only that, but the waistband is gaping, sometimes even on the smaller size. I haven't had a gaping waistband in years...

Anyway, I also found a necklace for Angie:
http://img.photobucket.com/alb.....fe6705.jpg

And that is the extent of my day.
