Definitely no vanity sizing. While pricey, the quality, design and fit make it worthwhile.
My first pair of yoga pants bought 9 yrs ago are still going strong. Ditto for other merchandise - note that I haven't bought a lot - because everything lasts so long!
I'd recommend you try stuff on first if possible.

Woah, I'm surprised at these different answers! I had one yoga tank given me by a friend and it was SO small I could barely fit my chest in it. I am not busty by any means. It fit like an xs for sure and was tagged a small.
I also have a run skirt by them that I love and it was a 6, I believe. I'll have to check. It is stretchier material than the yoga tank was, so maybe that's the difference?

EDIT: yes, I checked it was a 6 and I bought it in 2010.

Their clothes do wear well -- I've got LuLuLemon pants that are nearly over ten years old and still going -- and I'm a good one to ask because I lived two blocks from LuLuLemon ground zero when it first opened twelve or fifteen years ago. Over the years I've picked up quite a lot from there. I've never had an item die an untimely death, and I put the stuff in the dryer and everything. A testament to the quality of their merchandise is the fact that every single suburban soccer mom in Vancouver's lower mainland owns at least one pair of LuLuLemon sweats and one of their scuba hoodies. I don't think I'm exaggerating. It's like an epidemic. It's one of the reasons I no longer shop there...it identifies me too strongly with a "tribe". Well, that and I can't stand their salespeople. But you can't knock the quality and style of their yoga gear -- it's the best.

And yes, it *does* fit small. Most of it's supposed to be skin-tight. One guy I know lovingly describes LuLuLemon yoga pants as "a bra for a woman's butt". The gals in the shop always try to get you to buy stuff in a size smaller than you think you need, and forget wearing anything but thong underpants with them, because they want the sweatpants to go right up the crack of your rear. As far as the jackets go, they are supposed to fit pretty tight too, and I see a lot of middle-aged mothers wearing them tight enough that it shows their spare tires. So I'd size up. The sleeves are often extra-long too, which lots of people like, myself included -- although one time, they were so extra-long that I had to have them shortened.

I find their items both TTS and highly consistent. The items with the thicker, regular luon fabric are more forgiving when they are snugger than the thinner materials (luon light, luxtreme, etc.)

I recommend a visit. Some of the sizing is a preference (the SAs seem to prefer things tighter than I do, hence the pair of yoga pants I have in a 6 but wish they were an 8). But I've found some jackets slightly more generously sized than I might have expected. It's not entirely unpredictable, but there's enough inconsistency that I'd want to try their items on to get a sense of specific items' fit.

Thanks so much for the info - especially the note that the items wear really well. It seems like many think they run small... it seems like it might be worth making the trek to a b&m store if they have the item I'm considering, because it is final sale ATM.

Rae, I'm typically an 8 in tops and a 4 or 6 in bottoms, and that is true in Lululemon too. I do like my workout stuff snug.

Their stuff is pricey but wears like iron. I'm a fan.

I am petite and I have always found that LL 's sizes were small. They go 2 -4-6- 8- etc.
2 is really tiny. I think you would be a 6 or 8.

LL jackets are a true investment. I have several and have used them extensively. They are great for travelling, and I have even worn some at diplomatic functions, that's how versatile they are.

Rae - I just checked the lululemon website and they do have a sizing chart for items. And I do find lululemon runs small.... I rarely have luck finding things in their stores, which is too bad because the quality is quite good. Their target market is clearly small women - and I don't mean that unkindly, it's just the reality of the brand. Curvy gals like me have a hard time finding stuff there.

I noticed this brand make some really cool jackets that hardly look like gear at all... but for some reason Ebay sellers of Lululemon do not like to provide measurements - seriously looked at like 10 listings and nothing!

Anyone familiar? Mo? According to the sizing chart they seem to run very small, but I have been burned by size charts before.
