I certainly didn’t hurt myself! After Angie’s experience, though, I wouldn’t wear the red ones (which are the same as her yellow ones) in wet or slippery weather. Anyway they are great for the NYC sidewalk life, and Cons tend to fit me well though they are not as comfortable as, say Eccos. They’re comfortable but the high tops are kind of a pain because they have to be unlaced to get my feet in—once they’re on, they’re great but I’d hate to have to take them on and off during the course of the day. I can see the lug sole style working well for you to provide some “grit” or toughness.
