They are cute but the material would drive me nuts. It is so difficult to tell what the rise is on pants. 9.5" is the rise on my Frame jeans according to the website and I would call those jeans midrise.

They are close to being right, but a flowing and non-crush fabric would make these so much more wearable. I am glad you are sending them back.

That kind of material drives me crazy. It always comes out of the wash a wrinkled mess. I see the concept and am ready for it, but, exactly as you say, in a drapier material. Hope you find it!

Thanks for modeling them for us. Interesting because they definitely look low rise on you, but mid rise on the models.
I actually think they look like they are the right size, but then i like my clothes a little big so there’s that.

Thanks for showing.
Rises are so individual and so variable even amongst descriptions and measurements.
I think rise is one of those things that becomes almost one’s personal or signature style that has to transcend trends, because it’s so related to proper fit ( notwithstanding comfort). Not meaning there’s only ONE per person, but a range that fits well , related to hips, tummy, ribcage, shirt tuck works or wearing untucked works, etc.

They're very cute pants, but definitely too large for you. I like poplin for button down shirts, but I would question how well it would work for wide leg pants. Too stiff IMO. I prefer material with a little more "flop" for wide leg pants.

They're cute pants.

I'm so short through the torso that a 9.5 would be a mid rise for me.

They do look at least a size big on you, but I have to say I miss *slightly* low rises (they just suit my body type better than all these high rises) and I love a roomy vibe. If it weren't for the pleats, and maybe in a different color, I'd be tempted to try those myself. 9.5" rise is really good on me (my rise is so short that 10" is high).

Yes those are a pretty specific ‘look’ aren’t they? Cool but you would have to love them, I think.
Edit, I just looked at the stock photos. The models are wearing them higher so yes I tend to agree yours are a size big. I also note all stylings have at least an inch of skin showing above the waist. I think they are probably trickier to style without that. Overall they read as summer pants to me. I can see them on my daughter. It’s not a body thing, it’s more that the proportions seem trendy/youthful. This probably reflects my own lack of imagination.

I mentioned a little while ago that I was thinking about a low-rise, wide-leg silhouette, and these pants in particular. <https://www.freepeople.com/sho.....quantity=1>

I ordered them, and they are definitely low rise (the product description says 9.5 inches, which I would not have ordinarily considered low), and wide in the legs. A size down from my usual would have been a better fit. I think they might have been a possibility for me if they had more drape, but they are almost like a super-heavy poplin weave (they really needed ironing, too). So they're going back.
