I'd jump on your bandwagon if I could find something that fits properly. I have more, um, cushioning on my rear end and thighs, and so jeans that are supposed to look like they are slightly too big don't look too big in the leg and rear at all.

I am definitely getting tired of skinnies, though. I'm mostly wearing my cropped straights and cropped flares these days.

I think I'm a denim addict. I need my next hit!

I am also liking roomier, comfortable jeans. I have wide leg style and also got the Levi’s Dad jeans that Nemosmom mentioned and I am loving them. Now my skinny jeans look and feel like they are missing something.

Yes, I like jeans that are a little roomy, especially through the seat. I don’t like jeans that are too wide through the leg though as I feel this is too unflattering on me.

I also still like my skinnies, because they work well in tall boots!

I love the wide-leg jeans. I have a pair from BR that I bought in the Fall. I also have a pair of wide-leg pants from Jesse Kamm that I bought a few years ago. I would love to get another colour but that is not likely to happen.
I have two pairs of BF jeans. The Frame ones are mid-rise and the Fidelity ones are higher-rise.

But, they are closest to what I've been looking for: wider leg than straight but not WIDE leg, full length - well, 32" seems to be long these days.

A big frustration for me is that jeans NEVER look anything like they do on the models once they’re on my body. Things that are labeled “boyfriend” are almost skinnies on me. Sigh. So I can look at stuff online but it rarely ever translates on me, and not many styles seem to be available locally. If I had a dollar for every supposed loose fit that I had to tug up over my thighs (and then it still ended up being too roomy in the waist or rise), I could go on quite a shopping spree.

I am on the hunt for denim soon too!! So good that anything goes at the moment. I also like the slightly looser fit right now - my two remaining pairs of skinnies are at the lounge wear/rugby sideline under a long coat stage now and I don't think I will add new ones (but never say never!)

Sometimes skinnies still feel right, but I've moved towards slim straights and other looks much more commonly. Oddly, I think most of these look wider in the leg on me, but perhaps that's because I'm not as tall as the models. Current favorites attached. They're all Citizens.

Janet - Thrift shops! The pair I wear the most came from goodwill a few months ago - they are an old pair of Levi's 501s in great condition. 10.75" rise, 33" inseam, perfectly straight leg, medium wash with no holes or obvious contrasting stitching...

I have a hard time finding any at retail that are longer than 30", and the few long ones I do find are more distressed than I like - (I don't want holes or whiskering).

I also have these from Frame (picked up at Nordstrom Rack):
https://frame-store.com/products/le-nik-moma-3

they work for length, although I would like them a wee bit longer in the rise (I am not a tucker, so it doesn't matter that much).

Wide leg, flare, and boyfriend are still in style, even more so with the 90’s styles coming back this year.
My favorite wider jean is still the Boyfriend style from American Eagle, boyfriends fit exactly how you like. I wear belts often but also like the occasional relaxed fit jean and boyfriends are perfect for both of those reasons. https://www.ae.com/us/en/c/wom.....getype=plp

American Eagle has wide leg, bootcut, flares, and now 90’s boyfriend jeans!

Yes, April -- I find the same thing!

And it seems I finally find a cut I like but the wash doesn't suit me. Ugh.

Case in point: I like what I see of that cut of the Paige Leenah jeans Angie linked to above. But I don't care for the acid wash. And the available sizes skip right over me. This is the typical story of my search for jeans!

I have been recalling liking these NYDJ jeans - they look much better IRL than the model photos - rare! I have petites that are perfect with a 2l” heel, which I love for the leg lengthening effect, but I may shorten on to the more current and practical instep grazing with flats. The rise is higher, but not crazy bellybutton covering.

these Old Navy slim wide crops are worth a look - I have the same cut in a twill and really like it.

Can I just add that it drives me bonkers to do a search for wide leg jeans and styles that are described as wide leg are actually bell bottoms?

Nemosmom, where are you finding those mysterious unicorns? Inquiring minds want to know! Everything I see is either wider and cropped or skinny. I am snapping up good full-length bootcuts when I find them, but I'd love some new boyfriend-ish cuts.

I am liking the boyfriend fit best these days. Loose in the leg, but not wide, full length, mid to high rise. Anything too wide feels weird, any rise too high makes my rear look weird. I still like my skinnies, though...

After 10 years of mostly jeans I can’t seem to fit the new ones so am evolving to loose pants. I remember those dark rinse denim trousers with heels and still like dark rinse jeans but not with distressing. The hard part is adjusting to wide pants with flats.

I actually have a very short waist so the high rises work for me, but I'm with you on the cropped lengths, Janet.

I so agree, but am finding it hard to get that fit. The rises are currently so long that it creates a really bad effect on me (I remember one forum member long ago called it polterwang). And everything is cropped, and the cropped lengths are often too short to work on me. So please, denim makers, do some of these roomier leg silhouettes with mid rises and full lengths!

I wore the "baggy jeans" of the early 80s in high school but they were different -- pleated front and tapered ankle. Now I want the whole fit to be slouchy and the waist to have a little room in it.

Am I nuts? It feels to me at the moment like a wide-leg, faded soft denim in a size that looks just slightly too large, is about right.

This is the polar opposite of what we were doing with jeans when I first found YLF (this was just before skinnies roared back -- we wanted dark-wash, perfectly fitted trouser jeans, worn with heels).
