I think my foot spread out a bit as the day went on. This was day one of wearing and I'm hoping I just need to stretch them a bit either with more wearing or one of the stretch tricks&nbsp;&nbsp;we've talked about here n the forum. </p> <p>I totally recognize that foot sliding forward into&nbsp;the toe on uneven surface issue!! And I disliked it. These ON rockstar jeans are petite but still long on me, not sure if you can tell, but there is scrunch around the ankles. This may not be current / may be dated(?) but I rather like the effect of scrunch and always have. I might like cuffed ankle length more with actual shooties. These Blairs aren't shooties. Best way I can describe it is... "every step you take, I am watching you." LOL. No blisters (which moleskin would solve). Just knocks my ankle with every step, saying hello? Remember us? We're your booties, and you are wearing us. In this case it's because my ankles are rolling in so the knock knock reminder is on the inside of my ankles. Most other booties I've rejected were because the annoying part is in the front of my ankle. My older booties don't do this!&nbsp;</p> <p><b>Lisap,</b> I think you'd totally rock white booties, with your coloring. This is the year to give it a whirl as there are TONS of options. I've always envied Angie's white booties but the pickings were too slim until now. I get you on the quality, though all the ones I'd ordered were nice quality. Including the Impos, which are pleather, but that has the advantages when it comes to white shoes.&nbsp;</p> <p><b>Sara &amp; Robin</b>, for me the gateway has been wearing white sneakers quite a lot. If those worked, I figure, why wouldn't booties. It did take me some time to get used to white sneaks. The stumpifying effect is real when you're only 5'0 tall. Maybe my eye has adjusted, I don't know. I do think it helps these booties have low shafts. But also I think it's such a deliberate contrast and statement, it somehow works. I.e., people's eyes get stuck on your footwear. I think this outfit is a great example as your eye goes from white in the stripes to the shoes and you basically ignore everything in between. Does that make sense? Whereas if you are wearing dark footwear and dark jeans, your eye goes up up up (registering longish legs) then lingers on the top and other above the waist details. And I love that, and it's my usual M.O. But I also love this somehow too. The Geox doesn't come in a wide. I don't need a wide for the Blair's -- the only discomfort is at the ankle where the zipper meets at the top. It just rubs a bit, not enough to get a blister, just enough to annoy. I think it's because my ankles may turn inward a bit, especially when I get fatigued (they start out comfy but if I'm on my feet for hours they start to not be as comfy). As I said I think with taller socks this'll be a non-issue.</p> <p>The ankle-roll issue is why I think I do better in shoes with very stiff soles. Or, as I mentioned, my arches may be falling like my mom's did at this very age. That's what I really loved about the Blondo's! So much support my feet went "ahhhhh"... I am open to suggestions, and not unwilling to invest for the right pair (I see a lot of sock booties that are expensive but might work).&nbsp;</p> <p>Here is my white bootie review, as I ordered 4 pairs:</p> <p>1. Sam Edelmann cafe boot -- were initially comfy,,, until I wore them out on cobblestone city streets with a slant. My foot slid into the pointy toe area, causing pain. No arch support. Ankles were a bit sloppy for me too. But the leather was scrumptious and super soft. Would work well on a wider ankle, maybe with an insole (I didn't try as I have high volume feet and insoles rarely work for me). Or for a narrower foot sized down.&nbsp; Getting returned.&nbsp;</p> <p>2. Geox Lovai bootie -- LOVED these booties and so wanted them to work! And they would have, if my feet weren't on the wide side of normal. The leather is stiffer. The bootie is heavier overall. Didn't see them breaking in much. Nice stiff footbed (which I prefer). They are beautiful and I love love love the studded detail. Fit perfectly in the ankle. Cried that they are too narrow for me. Returned.&nbsp;</p> <p>3. Impo booties, forget which model, I mentioned on one of these threads. This is kitten heel and higher shaft. I still have these and I'm debating whether to K/R. The shaft is loose on me. But otherwise the shoe is super comfortable and easy to walk in. I think works with tights and a dress but I'm not wearing dresses much these days. On the fence. Have not returned yet.&nbsp;</p> <p>4. These Naturalizer Blairs. An 8 in comfort, so I'm keeping them. Still not as comfy as some of my other booties, but comfy enough.
