Definitely leggings and a big loose top or sweater in cool weather and a long loose dress-style bathing suit cover up for when it's hot and sticky ...this is SO cool and comfortable!

Mo-
I did not think about leggings, and tunics. That would definitely work!

Wendi1984-
Those are all great options. Especially love Anthro's bottoms.

Rachylou-
Wrap dresses are one of my favorites, great idea.

Susie-
I'll search for that post, thank you. Sounds like you've created a decent collection.

Cade-
I like jeans, but only wear them once or twice a week. Always searching for that elusive perfect pair.

Niefirn-
That robe sounds perfect and comfy

KikiG-
They make leggings with support? Added to the list. Great ideas, and I definitely have some daywear to demote that would be great loungewear.
Also, really like the footwear idea. I've noticed some extra soreness, and I bet that is the culprit

Gryffin-
Sweatshirts sound cute, and Gap's pure line did make my new favorite summer tee.

K-
Love the idea of cotton, as I run both hot and cold recently.

Thanks to all for the brilliant advice!

I like to do either PJ/yoga pants and cotton shirt when it's cooler out or a knee-length cotton dress in the summer.

Great topic. I spent a lot of time coming up with a lounge/sleep capsule that works for me. Every couple of years Gap comes out with tunic length sweatshirts which are comfortable and flattering. (I have a sleeveless version for summer). I wear them with a gap tank, danskin leggings (capris in summer) and merrill breeze mocs. I always feel put together and presentable and the bonus is my husband thinks they look cute.

Purpose bought: flattering leggings with control, tunic length top, a couple of camis, a high waisted long cardigan. This makes a nice capsule.

Demoted from day wear: a belted cardigan that tended to ride up on my backside when worn with dress pants, fluid, wide legged somewhat cropped pants from J. Jill that are off trend but wildly comfortable and not unflattering. A sheer, tunic length top that is flattering, but that for some reason I can't bring myself to wear in public.

Discarded and repudiated: Race For The Cure long sleeve tee shirts, baggy flannel pj pants. This was my former at home mom-garb, rated M for modest and B for boring.

That reminds me I need to order some Orthoheel slippers--I must have slippers with support, or my feet hate me. My Croc flip flops work fine for summer but not so much for cooler weather.

At home I generally wear yoga pants and a t-shirt. In winter I add a super-warm and soft fleece robe that I love and need because we try to be 'frugal' about heating. Not stylish but very practical and confortable.

My husband sees me dressed (nearly) everyday, so that is not a concern.

In the summer I switch to a simple cotton jersey dress and in the winter to jeans after work. Yoga pants are for Sunday afternoons only. I try to not look too scruffy around the house.

I recently started a post about lounge wear and there were lots of responses. I needed to update my lounge capsule and now have several pairs of leggings with a mix of long tops- a lightweight sweat shirt in a bright color, a super soft light sweater, a cowl neck top and a thin knit tunic.

Anthropologie has some really cute pants ("loungers") that have more panache than the usual prints. Here's one.

Also, I love the look of these Punjammies! They are made by women rescued from trafficking. I am thinking of giving them to all the women on my list this Christmas.

Have you tried leggings with oversized tees or sweatshirts/sweaters? I've been thinking of trying this look.

Hello All,
This question might be a bit off the beaten path, but what do you wear for lounging around?
I typically steal my husbands pajama bottoms and a tee as soon as I get home. With my husband working full time and school at night I've realized that he only sees me dressed about once a week.
I still want to be comfortable, but a little more thoughtful to my loungewear.
So far, I've collected a few more feminine variations of the pajama bottom/tee combo, 1 classic pajama set, and a few knit maxi dresses with cardigans.
I would like a few more options. Not looking for anything in the sexy nightie realm, as I am also hanging out with our little guy who is 6.
Any ideas would be appreciated, and thanks in advance!
~Ruby
