My parents still live there, about 2 miles from LSU. Actually there is a girl who I grew up with and have lost track of but who apparently became a great fashion designer in NO. We usually visit once a year or so. (My parents visit us more often because it's easier with two kids.) My sister actually got married in BR the weekend after Katrina hit (so we were there) and then lived in NO until the beginning of this year. What a great place. If there are any YLF members from that area...I truly envy you. Everyone is so nice, the southern hospitality is genuine. The shopping was unbelievable from the cute little dress boutiques (with the best names like Frock Candy and Hemline and Wish) to the wonderful home decor stores. In addition to all of that the food is amazing and the history and culture so interesting. Anyway just had to tell all of you what a great area it is and if you have never been there, go visit. You will not be disappointed. </p>
