The fit "issues" are quibbles.<br />I liked the BR ones so much I ordered them. And the fit is pretty much dead on, although all the way to the belly button on me. Not conventionally flattering but to my liking nonetheless. The overall shape and wash was so familiar to me when I opened the package that I hereby christen them "husband jeans" - an update to my long loved boyfriend styles.<br />I also got this cute linen tee in the oatmeal/rust/pink combo which will help me work the new higher waisted proportions.<br />Of course since Tuesday BR has changed their pricing and promos such that ordering the exact same items again today will save me $30, which I think I will just go ahead and do. I own them all, so my only decision is whether to keep wearing them. They are all the same size, by the way - 28.&nbsp;<br />The Gap pair just don't fit well. They ARE tight, Angie, and the crotch hangs down, just a smidge, which makes them uncomfortable. They have a lot of stretch, so I can move ok.<br />The Paige's fit me perfectly 5 lbs and no muscle ago. Now they are just tight tight tight.&nbsp; I agree they look the best. They fit the best proportionally.<br />I did not try the 27's in the BR's as I ordered online. I like them all. I think the BF jeans look great--but you could have them tapered to make them feel less big. I've pretty much stopped wearing my Gap BF jeans (because of the lower rise)&nbsp; in lieu of Levi's 501s. They're high rise, button fly and tapered. You might want to give those a try. Trying to adjust to this recent weight gain/muscle thing.&nbsp;<br />3 different styles of jeans. The most comfortable, of course,are the Banana Republic relaxed straight jeans, but they feel like boyfriend jeans and overly big to me, compared to the skin-tight skinnies that are so uncomfortable now.<br />Everything is either a half size small or a half size big now.</p> <p>1-3 - Gap cropped flares. These fit pretty well.&nbsp; BR Fitted Cotton Stretch Crew (love this, 3 colors!)<br />4 - Paige Hoxton Skinnies (hope my friend doesn't mind starring in this photo in NYC!) - tight, half-size small! I feel like these look good, though.<br />5-7 - BR Relaxed Mid Rise Straights - nice heavy denim with stretch. they are 1/2 size too big. And I feel big-ish in them.</p> <p>Got to run, happy weekend everyone!</p>
