I didn't lose weight really, but when I was doing a lot of weight training my body proportions changed dramatically, so I know what you mean. My butt didn't fill things out anymore and pants were riding up on my thighs when I sat down. I had to pull them down when I stood up. Not so fab.

IK, I get it. It's why I ended up with such a major wardrobe overhaul last year.

I was most surprised at how my upper body changed. I think the running kept my legs from getting significantly smaller (they're mostly more toned now although I definitely lost inches as well). But I was astounded at how tops and dresses didn't fit my torso anymore. I altered some things I loved and let a lot go.

I completely know how you feel, IK!! I lost a ton of weight a couple of years ago, and I had to replace my wardrobe twice! The first time wasn't so bad, but the second time I was shrinking out of things I really liked! (I'm still mourning my awesome green military jacket and gray sweater dress!)

ha, funny you say this. About two years or so ago, I went and lost weight to achieve a BMI of 23, which is, according to my doctor, better - but who knows? The feedback was horrendous: Some people asked me if I was sick, I hated how my legs looked, I had no cheeks left and my torso was sooo bony. Overall, I was not happy. The saddest thing was that everything I owned made me look like a deflated balloon...

I concluded that I like to look a little more filled in I also think my clothes look better, when I'm rounder.
I think you look fantastic though!!!

Oh! I know exactly how you feel - with the weight I hope to lose I will be saying good bye to quite a few favorite pieces.

And this will be a months-long endeavor. My bottoms and lingerie will need to be replaced but I can get by for awhile by taking in my tops at the side seams.

I've been on my diet and workout plan for 6+ months now, and it's becoming a lifestyle as opposed to a "diet" and "plan" at this point. I feel good, my husband is happy, I am stronger and have more endurance, and I love seeing the muscles in my arms.

The thing is, I am oddly bummed by my clothing not fitting "right." I built a wardrobe around my heavier body, and now things don't sit the way they used to, especially pants. My favorite jeans are saggy and falling off. Wearing a belt bunches up the fabric at my crotch, and having them tailored seems ridiculous because it's such a major repair I'm better off getting a new pair (even though they don't make my favorite pair anymore). Dresses fall wrongly - in fact, when I wanted to dress a bit slutty for a birthday dinner out, I couldn't. None of my dresses fit tightly any more!

I know we're generally socialized to be happy about losing weight, but I've gotta say, it can be strange.
