I am actively looking for loose and drapey shorts, but with some criteria. I wouldn't go for a print and no, I wouldn't pay that for them. But if I could find some casual, linen, soft and drapey, not too short...yes, I plan on wearing them!

Those are really beautiful. I am still Team No Shorts At Work, but these would come close to convincing me to switch teams.

I love (and wear) dressy shorts. Those look cute, as Zibbets said, like a mini culotte. JCrew always has great pairs. One thing you should note on dress shorts is where you plan to wear them as some of them are lined. If you're going to be wearing primarily outside, you either need to skip the lining or look for something cotton; standard poly linings will stick to your legs in the heat. If you're inside, then those silky poly linings are fine

I like the idea of them. A little worried about adding volume to part of me that definitely does not need it. I wore this kind of thing a lot years ago when they were trending before (in the 90s) and I'm not so sure they did me any favors. Still, if I saw some that looked promising and edgy, not sweet, I'd try then on. I'm always looking for something stylish for summer.

I really like them. I am looking for something like this, actually. I'm sick of my tighter shorts.

I'm with Jen, I'd try a cheaper version depending on the length!

I really like those! I think they would hide some problem thigh and be comfortable in the hot summer.
Also, depending on the length, would still be office appropriate with the right top/shoes/accessories.
I don't know that I'd spend close to $200 on them but definitely would find a cheaper version to try out first.

for work or for weekend/home/other?
i would definitaly try this weekend wear.
i would love to be able to wear something like this to work, but all shorts are off limits as per the dress code.
years and years ago, i did work for a company that allowed dressy shorts. i had a short suit that i loved, it was perfect for work.

Very cute, almost a culotte, but with renewed sass.

I would wear it.

Well, spring just started last week here in New Hampshire, if you go by actually having leaves on the trees.

And I'm already looking forward to the warmer weather.

I have seen some outfits that are shorts suits, which I would not wear.

However, I have also seen some very dressy shorts that might present more like a mini skirt. These are nice, but they are out of most sizes and they are pricey indeed for shorts: <http://us.lkbennett.com/Clothi.....0923205469>

Would you try this type of shorts?
