For example my recent visit to Talbots in which none of the SAs recognized my existence. I was specifically looking for the black velvet jacket that was on their website. I didn't see it in the store, and since no one offered me any help, or really anything, even a hello, I left. I ended up ordering one from Macy's. I know lots of people here hate Macy's, but it kind of reminds me of Costco. You never know what you'll find.</p> <p>I hate Continental Airlines. Once, on a flight from Houston to San Francisco, in which we needed to switch planes in Denver, the pilot inexplicably diverted to Colorado Springs. It was not weather related. Everyone on the flight except for one or two people missed their connection. We were stranded in Denver with a little baby. It was really awful. This was over 25 years ago. If I see anything from Jessica Simpson, Ivanka Trump or Kardashian I pass. Michael Kors does t bother me. He's a designer through and through. I see his flashiness as efforts to market his brand. In truth, all of these people are downright brilliant at marketing themselves. They know their market and those of us who are naysayers are not their market.. They are smarter than most when it comes to making money, especially Jessica Simpson. Perhaps they deserve my respect for this. They are banking on family names, looks, and hype. It works. People buy this stuff or they wouldn't still be in business. I'm particularly impressed with Jessica Simpson, who turns everything into an opportunity. She's brilliant. She sings and uses that. She gets married to a hunky guy and uses that. She gets pregnant and gains weight and then uses the weight loss. She has a passion for clothing design. What cliche media hyped up thing hasn't she tried? The Kardashians are the same. I have heard mom is the business leader/brains there, who knows? I'm just a shrink sitting here judging. It's easy to do that. I don't like obvious branding from anyone (including luxury brands), but I just avoid those styles. Tommy Hilfiger bugs me the most because I love the preppy styles, but many are ruined for me by the huge monograms. One of my favorite pair of shoes are Jessica Simpson, but I have no strong opinions about her personally so I didn't think much about them when purchasing.&nbsp; </p>
