The party is slightly more casual than dressy but some people do dress up a little. Last year I wore a black velvet blazer, white lace short sleeved blouse, pearls, dark wash jeans, and black ankle strap pumps, and was a little dressier than some but felt good. </p> <p>The blouse is a tomato red with a lot of light and dark blue in the print plus a tiny bit of burgundy. It was a top pick last spring and a lot of people collected the find, so I’m hoping some of you might have some good party styling ideas. So far I’m thinking of wearing it with slim black pants and black flats, maybe long pearls wrapped a few times., but that seems awfully predictable.  </p> <p>The photos show how I wore it not long ago with jeans under a black blazer. I think the untucked look is much more flattering on me than the tucked one for the blouse by itself. It is pretty warm in our friends’ city apartment so I probably won want a topper, so I expect I would wear it untucked</p> <p>Would love to hear any styling ideas!!!  </p>
