The ones I have are not denim - they are a blend of multiple materials that create a stretch cottony fabric. When I first put them on they were such a perfect fit I had to buy them even though I only grabbed them as the background to test a sweater with (I did not buy the sweater). I absolutely love the fit. I'm going to buy a pair of the Stilt denims on ebay for $40, which feels like a much safer way to try them. They're not cheap otherwise. But I am tempted to get another pair like mine in another color.</p> <p>I knew you would mention your SW Chelseas!! For whatever reason, these sit in my brain as the ultimate. And he doesn't really have a comparable bootie right now. I don't want a real heel -- I have the heeled patents and my heeled black suede for when I want that kind of drama. It's become my fall fallback, and it's coloring a lot of my thoughts about my wardrobe. I want another pair of Stilts (looking on ebay now) and a pair of black chelsea-like booties with a higher shaft to replicate the feel of the Bella Vitas. I find them perfect with skinnies and extremely comfortable. I am consigning a couple of other pairs of booties that are not me this year in terms of either comfort or style for daily wear.</p> <p>Before I try these black ones below (Louise et Cie Valentine) I thought I'd check in with the wisdom of the forum.
