Some MUA's try to cover every variation in my skin tone, and yes, I have freckles and a very prominent age spot on the bridge of my nose. But it was tough to really follow everything she was doing because it was for a photo shoot and not to educate me on products or application.&nbsp;</p> <p>I keep reading that after a "certain age" we should change from powder blush to cream blush, and I just haven't been able to bring myself to do that. Have someone do your makeup. My mom convinced me to have mine done at Macy's a few years ago and told the girl to put on what she thought would look good on me. I never would've picked that shade of lipstick (it looked brown!!!) and blush but they were flattering. As far as the sales pitch goes, I tell them right up front that I'm only going to buy a lipstick.
