You probably need new basics because of your weight loss. I'd start with a pair of pants in a style that looks good on and find shoes that feel great and then try different tops to see which ones you like and work with your new lifestyle. Since you won't be needing work outfits, you can have some fun and be creative.

A style refresh is an excellent idea at this stage of your life. (((HUGS))).

You need to do a little more soul searching into your current style preferences. Many more wild cards from now on. Building on what Shevia said, try on items that you would have ignored before now and see where it takes you. Make sure you order the right size for your new body when shopping online.

I wonder how much of an update you need. If you get clothes that fit your new body, everything will look different, even if the styles are similar to what you've been wearing. Usually one can count on new outerwear, footwear, eyewear, or accessories to update a look. In your case, those are the things that are likely to remain, while you refresh your wardrobe with new sizes of basic clothing. I might try to get new sizes in those things that you really wish still fit right, and then go from there.

If you are feeling up to it go to a couple of stores you have not been lately and try on a few things. I see you going in a slightly more feminine direction. I recently bought this blouse that Angie recommended and can totally see you in it.

Thanks Shevia and Rachy. Rachy, that is a great idea. I am retiring in January so it is a really good time to casualize a little.

Do you remember these looks? http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....ootie-roll

I love these on you. The little bit of bad a$$ vibe. The long hair is really key - you're just gorgeous with the long hair. And also, even though they're not bodycon or anything, I feel these looks are shapely. I think you could expand on this...

I don't think anyone can really impose a style on you from the outside but it does seem the perfect time to play in the dressing room of some stores you normally would never enter and see what sings to you. The blouse is gorgeous.

A lot has happened in my life the past few months and I am getting the feeling I need a fashion update. Well, maybe not an update but a new direction. I am currently down about 15 pounds and most of my wardrobe does not fit properly. I have always loved the loose flowy tops over skinnies and pencil skirt looks but now the skinnies and skirts are hanging on me. Last month I bought a pair of rain boots to take the pups out for potty time and that is it. This month I ordered the BR lace blouse that Angie favored only in the blue. My question for all of you is, what direction do you think I should try out? I have no preference. I want to keep my hair long because it is my natural color and have not worn it long since my 20's when I chopped it all off. I am open to any and all suggestions so bring them on.

I hope every one had a very nice Thanksgiving and harvest time.
