I'm a fan of hardware and detail on my boots. I think these would be great for tucking if the jeans fit into them.

I would think you could tuck into those. They look versatile to me. A lot depends on how closely the calf and ankle fit your leg, and whether it leaves a little room for jeans underneath. I've been pleasantly surprised that a couple of pairs of boots I thought might not accommodate any bulk underneath have actually worked out for a tucked jean... once I got the zipper up!

My personal preference for tucking is a flat or wedge boot. To my eye, the boot like this one with heels looks better with skirts. Again, this is just a personal bias, so take it for what it's worth.

I think they will work great tucking w/jeans and with *some* skirts...kinda a case by case basis....fab boots!

I don't think the heel or the detailing make it unsuitable for tucking. It's a great looking boot. That being said, my criteria for tucking is really whether or not it has a full zip. The Wanted boots in this post are my faves because of the full zip and not too snug fit around the lower leg. I have the Rory Scrunch but I really find tucking a pain in those unless my jeans are very fitted in the calf and even then I find tucking a but difficult.

The ones you posted have a partial zip--that might help you to pull your jeans down if you need to.

Oh, I get it I think it may be a bit much to put, say, a busy print skirt up against them. I can't see why jeans or any other solid pant wouldn't be alright with the embellishments.

Hi Mo, I'm really just asking about the style. Do you think the heel and embellishments make them unusable for tucking.

I think this really depends on how it fits your leg. If there is enough room to tuck there often is too much gap for skirts. Or at least that's how I understand it . . .

Ok, I'm kinda new to the whole tucking thing. I need some boot advice.

Are these considered tucking boots?

http://www.zappos.com/biviel-bv2705-black-capri

Or are they best with skirts?

For the poll:
A) Good tucking boots
B) Not good tucking boots, only for skirts, keep looking

Sadly the Frye Cindy Slouch I ordered last week are going back. The shaft is just too soft and doesn't give me the long sleek line I was looking for.

Thanks for any feedback or suggestions!
