It doesn't have to be a cowl. I actually bought a ribbed faux wrap V neck that looks great with jeans, but it's too thick to tuck and too long not to tuck, so I think it's going back.

I do look best in V necks. I'm just looking for something I can tuck if I want. Thanks for the suggestions!

Are you looking for a cowl or for different options?
Would it be more flattering for you to wear a silk split neck blouse or even a V- necked sweater, using the booties as your modern update?

I'm sure I've seen cowl necks online, maybe AT, Talbots; in " the mall" try Limited and others.

V necklines keep me from looking top-heavy and make me look longer (I think). Maybe a slim, fitted sweater or a wrap blouse. Doesn't really keep with the 60s British mod theme, but that's all I've got.

You could try a mock-turtle neck or a funnel neck for less bulk. You might be able to find another black cowl neck sweater in a thrift store if there aren't any available in retail this season and that's what you really want. Your mod look sounds really cute!

One of my favorite fall/winter looks is a patterned or plaid A-line skirt, black tights, and a black turtleneck - sort of a 60s British mod thing. I can't wait to do it this year with my new black booties. My one problem - turtlenecks look awful on me. I'm short with a large bust and they just make me look much heavier than I am. I need something I can tuck in, because most tops are too long on me to wear untucked with skirts.

I had one black cowl neck sweater I wore to death with this look, but it's bitten the dust and I can't find a replacement. Anyone in the same boat that can give me ideas?
