Hi Sheri!
Lots of fab cords around - I have to restrain myself. I've picked up a few pair from Joe Fresh for a very decent price. My all time favourite pair are from GAP. It;s called a legging jean, but it's a fine black cord (so soft) that is a cotton/elasterell. Beautiful fit (to my eye) and doesn't bag out.

I don't know Canadian brands but I am a pear shape and petite and find Banana Republic Jackson fit cords work for me. Eddie Bauer also works well.

Do you have a Northern Reflections near you? I love their fine-wale velvety stretch cords, especially in "weekend" cut which is jeans-style. I've also got several pairs of the "essentials" cut which, as a standard trouser style, sits at normal waistline and a little fuller cut, but still reasonably slim.
I think the height you are, you'll want the regular length even tho' you'll maybe want to hem up slightly unless you wear heels. Petite is likely just a smidge too short. And they also have "ankle" length. I'm 5'4" 130 lb so regular size 8 in both cuts is perfect for me with slight hem adjustment. I have 2 pairs of NR cords from previous years, and just bought 3 more in black, charcoal and sangria (plum) a few weeks ago when they were on sale for - gasp! - $20 a pair!

Unfortunately, you may have missed the boat for this year as I see there are none online right now, but definitely keep them in mind for next year. Or some stores might still have a few pairs. I'll be getting more of the weekend cut next fall because they're so much warmer and are a welcome change from denim jeans.

You also might try Cleo - I've bought cords there in previous years.

If you ok ordering online you might try Madewell - I know Angie approved of their cords a few years back and I think they'd likely be more suited to a lithe frame. The pairs I own are Kut from the Kloth, which I like because of the higher rise and stretch factor.

Lands' End has some nice cords, as does Lands' End Canvas (their younger/more modern-fitting line) if you're looking for fun colors. I haven't tried either personally, but I've been happy with their quality and a friend was happy with her LEC colored cords.

I am looking for a comfortable, casual pair of cords to wear on the weekends. I dress up for my job 5 days a week, and really like to unwind on the weekends, but not look like a complete slob. I like cords because they feel warmer, and in the part of Canada where I live, it gets chilly for 3 - 4 months of the year.

I am about 5' 4, 120 lbs.

Any suggestions. I have looked around Title Nine and do like some of their stuff.
