They have the wedge and do not have a tongue so the skin shows through the lacing. I'm kind of trying to do something a bit different than lace up cons if I can find it because I was a skater girl back in high school and wore them all. the. time.    But they are definitely a option.   I have black wedge sneakers and heeled booties so my hope was to fill the 'no heel, very comfy' hole with new sneakers too. I've also looked at slipons but I prefer wearing (invisible) socks so hi-tops work best. I think the knock-offs have focused on the more novel wedge shape. I saw a bunch of wedge sneakers at Target a while back. For the flat ones, you might have the best luck looking at actual Converse, which are usually not too expensive (more than they used to be though!) Converse currently has monochromatic white versions of their classics, high or low, and canvas or leather.
