Love the APC petit standard jeans - quite expensive though, and a full time job breaking them in. Mine are still as stiff as cardboard after 4 weeks, but I haven't worn them as frequently as I ought to.
Raw, or 100% cotton jeans really do seem to flatter the figure (especially my behind!) more than those containing stretch, probably because they are more 'structured'.
Ah, they used to make them at Topshop and other high street stores before the obsession with lycra took over, and quality seems to have plummeted since then, too.

Always a good idea to size down though, for the raw denim eventually slackens and molds to the body.
Definitely try ebay!

i have a 100% cotton pair that are level 99 which i also got on ebay... not sure of any other details that are helpful though... sorry!

ETA: I have a pair of cheapo jeans which use about 50% Ramie to get out of the expensive cost of cotton and they are the coolest in warm weather I have ever had... I was curious when I discovered this last summer so I looked up Ramie and it is a natural fiber as well... FWIW

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! I am a 29/8 but probably a 30 in stretchless denim. I am hard to fit in jeans though and none of my fallback styles come in a stretchless formulation, unfortunately, so I am hesitant to buy from ebay because it's usually annoying to return things. I did see the TR ones that Denise has, but the price is a little high for me. Maybe if they go on sale... I don't understand why premium 100% cotton jeans always seem more expensive than the spandexy ones.

Anna, I might order those Quicksilver ones - from Zappos, so I know I'll be able to return. Thanks!

Rae, the only style Lucky currently makes without stretch seems to be the Lil Maggie which is indecently low on me. I love Sweet N Lows ... even though they don't make 100% cotton right now, you've given me a great idea to look for old ones on ebay!

Donna, I've never met a pair of men's jeans that will fit my 13" waist-hip difference! Not exactly a boy's shape...

Boys' or mens' jeans? I tried some on at a Levi's store but the pockets were huge. They may not be so huge across the board, tho'. I would start the search at a thrift store.

I haven't looked lately, but I used to get my 100% cotton ones from Lucky Brand. I think mine were around $100.

there are hundreds on eBay cheap. Not sure your size either but http://www.ebay.com/sch/Jeans-.....6.c0.m1538

And, yes, Denise's TR are 100% cotton but expensive, as you mentioned. They look great, though!

I think Denise(CocoLion) found a pair of True Religion recently. But the styles coming up on shopstyle.com are around $300.

Has anyone come across any nice 100% cotton jeans lately? I love them for summer (so much more cool and comfy than anything with spandex) but they are so hard to come by. Here's what I'm looking for:
-100% cotton
-lightweight
-light or medium wash, some distressing is OK
-straight leg or bootcut, a little slouchy but not baggy
-"medium" rise (this will be low rise on me)
-fits my pear hips and thighs (but I don't mind sizing up so long as the waist is not huge)
-not >$300! (seriously, all the ones I've seen lately are SUPER expensive. I like premium but won't pay more than ~150 for them)
