I once heard this interview with this woman - a refugee of some sort, she had a terrible time of it in any case. She came to this country and watched Mr Rogers to learn English and she broke down crying, which made me cry, because he had such a message of hope and was so nice to HER thru the tv. That sounds crazy, but I could see how that could be. They tell you to help people keep to their routines during periods of trauma, and this young man had reason to be anxious. As I walked into the house, I hear, "There was a shooting at school today....." How to follow that? I had no idea, but Mr. Rogers came to the rescue. "Let's sing about the helpers, I said." Thanks, Mr. Rogers.
