I saw the navy ones today at the Bay and swooned. I had no idea what a high need I had for such a shoe until I owned it. I adore them.&nbsp;</p> <p>I have never been able to wear regular Cons because of the flatness. I chose the Converse version for 2 reasons - 1) the original is iconic, so that part of the styling will continue to be stylish, and 2) they were quite inexpensive, so that if the trend does fade quickly, I don't feel like I broke the bank to participate. They are getting scarce; I think they came out in the spring. I have them in charcoal. They are comfortable; I really feel almost like I'm wearing regular Converse. I get compliments on them from males and females ages 16-66. I feel like they "elevate" a simple shorts outfit. I've also worn them with boyfriend jeans and even once with a casual jersey dress - I was feeling daring. I thought about buying another color too, but I do think the trend won't last forever, and by the time I wear these out (Converse are pretty durable), I'll be done.
