If you love the colour, then I think it is a worthwhile investment. I've been using handbags in contrasting colours for years to amp up outfits, and while the colours haven't been neon, it is the same idea. A good handbag, regardless of colour, never goes out of style. So, I have high hopes for another year (at least) of staying power! </p> <p>About 10 years ago, I figured metallics had peaked, but here they are, still going strong!! I'm thinking of accessories in particular -- I have my eye on a very bright yellow leather tote bag, which is a little outside my comfort zone but I think it would be a fun addition (and a step away from my wardrobe dominated by aqua, black, and red!). But will anything neon-like look extremely dated by fall? </p>
