Anne lovely shirt - you've reminded me that I still need to get some casual winter tops. I am a chop & hack sewer so the way I would do it might not be correct but this is my suggestion - I would see if you can unpick the sewing on the band that way you should still have the overlocked edge from the body of the T then you should be able to just turn it under and sew it up. Easier with an overlocker if you have one (I dont) otherwise I use a setting on my machine called "blind hem" which is for taking up trousers and it works a treat with anything stretchy like this.

Tam they called it a T-shirt http://www.ezibuy.com.au/Women.....5B2%5D.htm

but I suppose I am thinking of it more as a fitted tunic

Angie thatnks for comp re short hair.

Bumping this in the hope of comments about how to take the band off (I'd do this myself)

I'm a bit confused about this one too. It is very long for a tshirt - is it meant to be a tunic? Having said that the print is great and it fits you very well to my eye!!!

I'd like it sans the band. It's not voluminous so the band does not rein in the volume so to speak.

I love your short hair though! It frames your face and specs beautifully.

You are quite right about the band Louise, and this is my only reservation about this tee. Maybe I could make side slits in the band and that would ease the tightness, rather than having to take it off completely. - or would the latter be preferable? Any input from the sewers on this?

Could you remove the band at the bottom? I like the style but i think the band seems to 'tighten' it at the bottom x

I like it, too. It wouldn't work as well if it weren't fitted. You look great in it. You must be keeping up with your running and swimming. Good for you!

I bought this from Ezibuy (Emerge brand), thinking that I really need something long enough for when I wear a sweaterdress and then it heats up and I want to take it off and still look OK in skinnies! Plus I like the graphic tee element.

This top fits me really closely ( I could use it for a body shape post!) but it does cut in a little at the band at the bottom.

What do you think? Is is a keeper?
