The back has a drawstring to add some structure. And I am waiting on the Lafayette that Angie included above. </p> <p>I also have the James Perse long blazer style jacket. It's heavier and too casual&nbsp;to wear as a blazer&nbsp;and it's more&nbsp;coat length on me. Having ridden hunters through my teens there is no more elegant look than English equestrian - long jacket slim leg. Don't know your price range but don't forget to check out theory. Many of thei jackets run long (not the gabe), EF if you can find narrow cuts does them well, also look for cutaway styles the Veronica Beard Kennedy and even Smythe will cover your butt while giving a very flattering line up front and also work w skirts and dresses. I tend to carry weight in my middle, and a blazer that goes past the waist does not emphasize that the way a shorter one does. Last, I feel that an untucked top that shows under a jacket is sloppy looking, yet I prefer not to tuck. Perhaps it isn't as traditionally flattering, but with wedges or taller shoes, I still feel the proportions work.&nbsp;</p> <p>And perhaps it isn't even necessarily a <i>long</i> blazer I'm looking for; just one that isn't cropped.
