TAKE those Reports. They are awesome, and really do add that bit of "punch" to the outfits. Also, they are super lightweight and take up less space than you might think. I LOVE your most recent outfits. They are polished, fun, bright, and spunky. The Reports look great with both pants you've shown them with. Love the white denim, and all your jackets.

Ok, first off, you are seriously gorgeous with your hair down!

Love your capsule so far, with the exception of the old black pants (as you might guess). I think the thing about the frilly sweater is that it seems to be short - the hem hits in a funny place - and the color I'm not sure is your best. But it's quite cute, actually, and lively.

Do you wear skirts? You might want to bring one dress or skirt. Just one. I believe in traveling light.

How exciting a capsule wardrobe for a travel to London.
Frankly i don't care for the frilly cardigan that much, it doesn't do you justice.Love 7&8 and although I love the outfits in 9&10 I think a white denim jacket might be too summery for London in September.
Claire gave a great idea about making a list of items. I have a feeling you are not taking enough clothes or options for a whole month.
I would also add a heavier jacket to layer on top of the others, London in September can get rainy and cold.

Ok, now we're cooking with gas! This looks amazing. In a way, your job is much easier because you only wear trousers/jeans. You don't have to worry about shorter tops and long tops; they all work with all of your bottoms. All of your jackets are so cute! I see now what you mean about the sweater with the ruffles. It's the one thing that looks like it doesn't belong.

So can you make a list for us? How many pants are you taking, how many tops, scarves, shoes/boots? I would think you'd need at least a week's worth of tops (I'm guessing you can launder at your sister's) but if you have a few more that work with this capsule and they fit, throw them in.

It looks like you have 3 pants and 5 jackets and three shoes/booties. The red booties add so much interest, I really think you should try to pack them, even though they'll take up a lot of room. The jackets will take up a lot of room too, but since you will be wearing one every day they will add much needed variety. If two of them are similar, I guess you could eliminate one of them, but I really like them all! The white button front is a good idea. Have you tried to fit everything in your case yet?

Ladies, I have added a couple more outfits to this capsule. Last 3 pics, these were inspired by Claire's travel capsule for New York. I am still not satisfied with my shoes here...and would love to hear your thoughts.

I love those red pants, but I agree with the others, you need a few more pieces (unless you are leaving luggage space for serious shopping?!). I also agree with pil - try taking the sleeves off the frilly cardigan and make a vest.

I'm glad you said you run cold - UK long range weather forecasts are unrealiable, but we often have warm weather in September/October, so I would take one warm weather outfit, at least. (Last year, late September/early October, we had temperatures of 75 degrees - I'm a Londoner, by the way!).

LOL! for those who noticed striped socks. I just wear them at home. I am definitely not going to put these on. Also, Angie I know the pants length is a serious issue here so I thought I would clarify upfront.
That is why I posted these, I knew i would get some great advice from YLF. I am definitely going to add more dressy pieces to this now. Shoes still present the biggest challenge as I am a really cold person and would like to take only closed toe shoes.
Suz, I dont wear dresses or skirts for the same reason. I get cold at the drop of a hat. In summer (which is usually very short and mild here in Kingston, I know this year is an exception) it is not hot enough for me to wear skirts. especially when my office is always freezing cold due to A/C. Although I love midi length pencil skirts that Angie and some of YLF'ers are rocking here. Who knows, may be I will add one next year to my wardrobe. but back to travel capsule. I am thinking to add some outfits around my red report booties. I will post pics sometime tomorrow. These booties are same as your nude ones.

Wonderful capsule so far, Mona! I love seeing what you're going to wear. My favourite so far is #2, and I LOVE your denim jacket! Also, I am delighted that you are taking the red pants with you. They are so terrific on you.

This would definitely not be enough variety for me for a month, even allowing for a few purchases and borrowing some from my sister. I would want at least one skirt/dress (unless you never wear those) and probably another jacket, in addition to a raincoat and a few more tops.

I love seeing these and they are very helpful as I plan my own trip. Thank you!

This looks like a great start. I really like all of them, except the outfit that you are uncomfortable with. Before you give up on the ruffled cardi, could you try it with the striped T-shirt? For some reason I think that might lower the contrast and blend the ruffles in a little. I don't know how much you need that cardi to work for you, or if it is easily replaced. I hope you have a wonderful time visiting with your sister. And shopping!

Your outfits are cute. I love the denim jacket and that yellow sweater is a gorgeous color on you. Just a thought and probably a silly one, but since you don't love the frilly jacket what about taking the sleeves off to make it a vest?

Thanks for explaining the pant lengths situation!

All the outfits are nice, although I would leave off the striped socks :)

Hmmm. I would pack a lot more stuff and also add in dressy pieces. People in London dress up and I would hate to feel under dressed (for dinner, High Tea and the theater). But then I worry about looking too casual because I bat for Team Dressy. I'd also check the weather closer to the time. The weather in London can be much cooler than you think. I would bring a trench coat because London is all about being outside.

Thanks for chiming in A. I am on the fence about the frilly top too and if you think it does not work then it is one step closer to the donate pile. I will add a few more pieces in next few days but these are basics that will stay. As I am visiting my sister, I can borrow some items from her and I want to be able to bring back goodies from there. That is why , I am not taking a lot with me.

Your capsule looks really good to me. And, if you aren't sure that you will wear that short sleeve cardi, I'd leave it behind. No point in hauling over something you won't likely wear and, if you need another cardi, you've a good excuse to pick one up while you are there. TopShop, Marks and Spencer, and Mango are good places to check out for inexpensive knits and tops.

Not loving the frilly jacket, maybe it will work better with a pencil skirt? I love, love the denim jacket, i think that will be worn very frequently. I don't know if that is enough for a month? It only looks like 4 tops, one jacket and 2 sweaters.

I am not a huge traveller but I think you need one more bottom and a couple more tops
