I wanted to like it, tried two sizes and neither worked. Initially I thought it was the horizontal stripe but finally decided it's the dropped shoulder. To my eye, the double breasted front with the zippers and belt is "a lot going on". Take that for what it's worth as it is a personal preference. A classic, "simple" trench would seem to have more longevity. It may be just the way the light reflects off the zippers in the photo. I don't think the trench was brilliant on me, but I wanted to try it as the price is much friendlier than the Burberry. </p> <p>I did like the sweater when I first tried it on, but the second time I didn't like it as much. I'm now thinking it's because I have a sweater that's quite similar (but it's wool and heavier). It's a Vince that I got on clearance last year for around $60. I've attached a photo. It just didn't seem to suit my body. </p> <p>I also had another go at the Burberry pea coat, this time with the Eileen Fisher sweater underneath. </p>
