It's a great capsule for a biz trip! I love the dress over the cropped pants but agree that you can better judge than any of us if it's too edgy. The conservative is stunning too, so either way you will win!

A gorgeous capsule here. When I travel I always take a minimum of three shoes that can go the distance with walking. For some reason shoes on vacation do not behave the same way they did at home, make sure your shoes are comfortable. Also, if you are going sockless be sure to bring some blister band-aids. They have saved me so many times on trips when I walk a lot. Also I'd throw a scarf in the bag, they take up little room but give extra warmth if you need it. Or they can cover up a stain on a shirt.

Thanks all for the great advice! Wow. I definitely need to confirm my most comfortable shoes. I may change out the red dress over pants for my conservative black sheath and tweed jacket for the client visit. Although it would be nice to blend in on the street I really don't have a choice on the red jacket. I need it because it has a hood. Thanks so much for looking and also for the great advice about the city as well. Much appreciated!

Your capsule is stunning, and I love the red dress over pants, but I'm not sure YLF is the audience you need to consider in this circumstance. Like Joy and Elle, I've found commercial area of central London to be pretty conservative as compared to other American and European centers. From my experience, even a bright red raincoat would be an eye-catcher in that sea of black, grey, navy, and tan. Maybe consider packing an alternative top in a subdued color just to avoid being caught unawares when you are actually in the City?

And more reinforcement about 12-hour walking shoes--on cobblestones and wet, cement sidewalks. Check your shoes before you go by wearing them for a 3-hour brisk walk on city streets at home.

London is a fabulous city, so enjoy your time there!

Although I love love love #2, London is a conservative city and more importantly, your client is conservative, so I would go with #5. I second (or third) the suggestion to bring very comfortable walking shoes that can be worn in the rain. London is a walking city and even the bus stops are farther apart than in the US.

Have a great trip!

All your outfits look great.

One bit of advice I could give you, yes to walking shoes, or trainers/sneakers.... but travel using the bus. You'll see much more than on the tube and they are very regular. Google maps on your phone even tells you which side of the road to catch the bus. You don't pay with cash on the bus, Londeners have an Oyster card, but if your bank card is contactless it works just the same.

Most of the people in London are tourists, so you'll see lots of people in very comfy relaxed clothing. But if do find your in need shoes, look out for Primark, one at either end of Oxford Street (the main shopping street), incredibly cheap clothing shop so after your stay if you didn't want to take them home it wouldn't break the bank to throw them away.

I think your red floral - over pants and as a dress - and then with the red raincoat is simply and completely stunning. London needs you to wear these outfits to cheer things up! You are in a creative role in the tech industry. Your conservative client might even expect that the fashion/vibe from your company/you would be more hip and creative, rather than be bothered by it.

I like both shoe choices in 6/7, so to conserve space for travel if you don't want to take extra shoes, the black would be just fine.

Have a fabulous trip!

Really stylish. Gorgeous! Great colours.

I think 2 - 4 look great - creative and cool. The colours are lovely. I wonder which part of London are you going to? I am slightly thinking that the court shoes may not be right in a very tech / creative environment for all day....10 & 12 looks good to my eye too. I am thinking along the same lines as Skylurker.

Very polished and somehow edgy, too- BOG LOVE, for all your outfits! Professional outfits are sharp and perfect for showing bit of creativity-the casual ones are really well thought and smart, too. In opne word, KILEER travel capsule which will make you feel confident and stylish all over the places and events you need. Thanx for posting, was a feast to my eyes&mind!:-)

Fabulous outfits.

#3&7 look work appropriate to me, but as others said, you're the best judge for what's appropriate in your business.
The mules might look like slippers to people with no interest in fashion.

Another pair of walking shoes would be great for sightseeing. Can you walk long distance with your boots #1? Do you have a pair of comfy loafers, oxfords, ballet flats...that would go with a dress for tea?

Lovely travel capsule! I have found London quite conservative. there can be florals and colors in the shops but no one is wearing them on the street. For that reason I think #5 will work better than 2-4.

London is definitely a walking city although the Underground is easy to use. You will do lots of walking.

Tea is an event. You should wear a dress. I vote for #3.

The rail will feel cold and you will be walking though puddles. be sure footwear is closed, with thick soles. Say no to heels...cobblestones, especially wet ones, are treacherous.

Very nice capsule, especially #1 and #11. I love the red-flowered dress, but it has a lot going on all by itself. Add pants, especially cropped ones, and I think it's too much going on for a customer meeting. You want your customer to feel at ease, and the more attention-grabbing your outfit is, the less you can be sure that's so.

@Greycat and Shevia, I work in marketing at a tech company and I am traveling with a video crew to shoot a video with the client. So somewhat creative. However my client is a conservative engineering company. I do have the option to ditch the floral dress and pants and replace with a black sheath and tweed jacket. It's more of a standard business look.

@Delurked, I could leave the tan mules at home. The black heels are ok for standing but not good for walking around a lot. They will be okay with the client and in the office but I will wear something else to take the train/tube etc.
I have another more dressy tourist day where I need to figure out walkable shoes and a dress. We lost Henry several years ago, this is another photo bomber

I really like the dress over pants. It is a fairly fashion forward look, but still professional and appropriate IMO. If you wear the black shoes in 7, it looks like you're ok with two pair plus the travel day booties. The casual looks are all nice. My favorite is with the top in 11 - great shape for you. I don't think you need the second dress - just make sure the dress you pick is what you will feel confident in. You shouldn't be second guessing if the outfit's too bright once you pack it.

For your two work days - one is an office day, and the meeting day is also when you need to do a lot of walking? How do the black pumps do for walking?

Is that Henry in pic 8? He's different than your avatar, so maybe another photo bomber?

Like Shevia I'm not in a position to judge the appropriateness of your client meeting outfit without knowing more about your industry. The colors and silhouette of the first outfit would be fabulous in a creative field. The second business outfit looks slightly more conservative. Both look good. Can you give us more details about your industry?

Hello, I'm heading to London for 2 days business and 3 days sightseeing this weekend. I'm working on my packing capsule and would love your opinion. Weather is going to be 65 to 70 degrees and raining a couple of days. Is this appropriate? Everything must coordinate with the red rain jacket in case it rains.

1 Plane ride
2 -4, 15, Important customer meeting - I think I like it with the pants? Is this too bright and crazy?
5 second meeting option (not sure I need this?)
