I think KS logos are on the less conspicuous side. I don't like bags with logos all over them or giant logos either. As Sylvie said, you can turn it around too. </p> <p>I've only gotten my Kate Spade bags at those sample sales they have every so often on the website and the prices are usually 40-50% off. So mine were all around $200 or less new. A new leather tote from KS commonly runs between $400 and $500, so on consignment less than half price for a bag in excellent condition is not unusual. </p> <p>Overall, I say that if you have had trouble finding a functional bag, then I would take this one. Usual haunt is TJ Maxx.Like the mama bear, lots are too big , vs not big enough for folders, lunch, &amp; general stuffage , or handle drop is not right. </p> <p>At a local consignment shop, this was not even on my radar screen but I spied a taupe pebbled leather tote that is a great size with 2 large side zip pockets perfect for papers and such, roomy middle section. About 14" wide by 10.5 " high so is a tote but doesn't swamp me. </p> <p>It is Kate Spade for, gasp , $210. On the side is discreet but definite gold stamped KS name &amp; symbol. I always eschew names on bags and wish this were anonymous. Also hadn't planned on more than$100 or so since did not anticipate" designer" and I don't even know if this is a " reasonable" price-- could not find same on e- bay, for example. And don't know if KS has name on all or just some. </p> <p>I'm torn re: the nice size &amp; design for my purpose vs whether I will hate feeling like I'm an ad for KS and not fit my " philosophy" . I have pondered camouflaging it as well with a bit of something over the name , but that might botch and look worse. I have passed up many purses after turning them and finding name or logo, so I'm not sure why I'm noodling over this-- perhaps feel thwarted at being so close to a nice and useful to &amp; from work bag. </p>
