The dress is a GREAT find. Wish I had seen that when I was there over their 40% sale.I was on a shorts mission so that is all I looked at.

I am 5'7". I have been buying Loft's regular pants that seem to have enough room for my derriere. There is some gap at the waist.

The shorts were a different issue. The regular seemed too tight so I had to order curvy online. I can't wait to see how those fit.

I picked up regular Bermuda shorts at Ann Taylor and those seemed to be large enough around. Still some gap at waist. (I only plan to own two pair, just like Angie!). I don't prefer shorts but I like to have them fit well if need a pair.

I'm a long-legged 5'2" gal and have liked the length of their skirts, but I do like mine a bit on the short side. I find the tops to be too long, though, even in petite.

I was able to gain some weight last year (a good thing) and switched to Loft's curvy jeans, but I was surprised that they fit me because when I gain weight I become more rectangular (my fat goes to my high hip). So if you are more hourglassy, it would make sense that you found the curvy fit to gap at the waist.

I'm not quite 5'2" and I usually get the regular, not petite, LOFT skirts and dresses. I haven't tried the curvy fit skirts yet - I've been buying the A-line and flared styles lately, not pencil skirts, so I just need to fit my waist. I just bought a pair of curvy jeans that fit me great, but in past seasons their curvy jeans haven't worked for me. Maybe the fit is changing slightly from season to season so trying on is always necessary. What I find curious lately is that in skirts my LOFT size is smaller than at other places, but in tops I always have to size up.

I find it's a constant question of trying on...it's great when you find a brand that tends to work, but "tends" is the operative word. We're all shaped differently from those fit models, whoever they are! ;)

Pretty dress, by the way! Enjoy.

Thanks so much, good to know! I'm going to have to hem my trousers that just came from them, too. I like a 30" inseam normally with a low heel and that's what these are supposed to be but they're just too long. Fit great in the rise and waist and hips though.

I am 5'1". Relatively short-legged, even for a petite; I usually have to get even petite trousers hemmed.

Do you mind if I ask how tall you are? I'm interested in fit at Loft too, since I recently made my first order there. I'm 5'3." Very glad you found a great dress that works for you!

I just received a Loft dress that I ordered online, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the petite version is long enough for me for once. (I ordered a petite and a regular so I could compare.) This is not generally the case for me with this retailer. I tend to find their petite skirts and dresses run short, at least by my standard of what I like to wear. So I often purchase the regular sizes instead for an extra inch or too. I don't mind the casual clothing running a little short, but I'm honestly perplexed when the workwear does.

I have other weird fit issues with Loft. I am curvy, but their regular pencil skirts fit me much better than their curvy skirts (which have too much fabric at the hips). Meanwhile, their curvy trousers still aren't curvy enough--when they fit my hips, they gap at the waist.

I guess this is probably just due to the vagaries of my individual shape. I've certainly figured out what works for me at this point, and I'm lucky to have a brick-and-mortar store nearby for easy returns. But I'm curious if other YLFers have the same issues?

(Dress is in the finds if anyone is interested. It's online only. Not only is it long enough, it also has sleeves. Double win! I'll try to post a WIW later. I'm very pleased with it.)
