When Loft first opened it was called "Ann Taylor Loft" for a few years. Worth it though - if I measure getting my money’s worth in CPW and happiness! I agree that their styles used to be twee and girlish (I was trying to come up with words like that), and they do still have styles like that but have branched out, which is good for me since I don't care for twee/girlish. .  Thanks Suz and yes the denim jacket is definitely a version of the "lady jacket" that's all over retail these days.  Thanks ciitigirldc ... fellow petite with small shoulders! Especially like the lilac henley and may have to try that one myself. I happen have a Loft store very close to home. For a long time I just never went in—the styles were far too twee and girlish for me. I’ve been popping in more and finding quite a bit more over the last couple of years. Yes their quality has improved dramatically and their styling seems more varied. The long sleeves on the the jacket do not bother me, at least initially. I prefer longer sleeves in cool/cold months. It's a solid cuff (no button or placket) so maybe not so easy to fold up if desired. Quality has greatly improved. It's encouraging :)  I LOVE that lilac top on you! KILLER fit and pretty pastel. I’m finding a LOT to like this fall. Here are a few pieces that just arrived. These are all petties but these items come in regular sizes too. They are not  styled, just initial try-ons with the jeans/sneakers I was already wearing. Henley top. It’s called a sweatshirt, but it’s a lot nicer than most sweatshirts. I don't always like gathered shoulders but the henley neckline seems to be a "tough" detail that nicely balances the "floofy" shoulders.  Fabulous fit, not too long!  Lavender is one of my favorite colors these days although I don’t have much of it. I also got the olive green one, both in PM. Denim jacket. As you can see in the find, this comes with a neck tie/bow, but it’s removable!! Yay!  (Not into bows at all.) Just the “belt loop” at the back of the neck remains. Also bronze buttons, another Yay!! I like the shorter length, the fit, and how different it is from my classic trucker-style denim jackets. I think I’d prefer it with slightly wider leg pants. This is the PL – I also ordered PM but prefer the roomier fit of the PL. I’ve ordered a few more items … on a roll with Loft this fall! I need to do a styling session … will report back later.
