I ordered the 6.5 because that is what TrueFit told me I would need, but they were too short, so I ordered the 7. On the 7, one boot had "the stitch" and one did not! I have yet to clip it out because I can get in and out of the boot regardless. Agree with DJP that the colour is more grape than burgundy but it's still a great colour and a fun boot to add to the collection, esp. at the super sale price. I got them at the extra reduction.

Thanks so much for checking DJP and Crackers. It looks like they sent the wrong size. Bummer. They no longer have the 9 online so it looks like I missed out.

Hey cheryle, I pm'ed you back with the sticker info. More on sizing... I'm always a solid 8.5 but I found these ran small and had to size up to a 9, and that rarely happens for me, especially in boots.

PS I should have added that the the fit of both pairs felt TTS but maybe very slightly on the smaller side. I have a low volume foot and occasionally have to size down to a size 6 but definitely not in this boot, the size 6.5 was the right size. I think a high volume foot might require sizing up a half a size.
TMI????

I ordered the burgundy ones immediately after reading lisap's post. They arrived very quickly, did not have "the stitch" and were perfect in every way, although the colour is more grape than burgundy. I was so delighted I ordered the black pair which also shipped very quickly BUT even though the box was labelled 6.5 (what I ordered) the boots inside were marked size 6. I called customer service right away and we reordered in the 6.5. The phone rep was a joy to deal with and even noticed that the boots had been reduced again so I received the lower price on the black pair and a price adjustment on the burgundy pair. Score! I returned the size 6 black pair to our local store and the SA's there knew all about "the stitch" and said they had clipped it out of their stock. My new black boots arrived promptly without "the stitch" and are the proper size 6.5. The finish on the black boots is not quite as refined as the burgundy pair but well worth keeping. I never did see "the stitch" but thanks to lisap and crackers I have two new pairs of very reasonably priced boots that I really like. All the PSA information here on the forum is wonderful! I think you should try again and I hope you'll have the same happy outcome I did. Wishing you lots of good shopping luck!

After Lisa posted about the boots from Little Burgundy, I went to try them out. One of the boots wouldn't zip properly and my usual size 8.5 felt a bit short. They didn't have the purple/burgundy in a 9 so I couldn't try them. I posted here and found out that there was a stitch on the edge of the zip that caused the problem but didn't get around to following up. I forgot about them for a week or so but saw someone wearing a really nice outfit with a colored higher shaft boot and checked it out again. I ordered the size 9 and they were here when I got home from Ottawa. They also had the stitch but now that I knew, I could removed it. It is hidden on the inside.

It is a bit strange that the 8.5 felt short but what is labeled on the box as a 9 feel quite big and my heel slips up and down when I walk in them. I noted that the clear sticker on the bottom of the boot says 10 and the inside tab of the zip says 40/10. It makes me wonder if perhaps I had the 8 at the store and that is why it was a bit short or if the pair I got online is a bigger size. I know there are sometimes inconsistencies in the conversion.

Did anyone else get theirs? I know a few ordered them. How did you find the fit? If you could check to see what the size says on the bottom compared to the inside of the zip and what you ordered, I would appreciate it. I do like the softness of the leather and the height of the shaft and would give them another chance if the sizing is wrong.

Thanks
