It's giving me the chance to make sure the boots work for me. So far, so good! I find the boots TTS and yes, a little wide on the heel, but keep in mind my feet are slightly narrow. Anyone with a high instep will have a hard time with this boot -- there's no zipper so you have to be able to slip it on. That said, I do like them together and would happily pair them. They’re obviously both essentials for my style: denim, and black boots. </p> <p>The jeans are something I’ve considered for a while. I donated my old grey skinnies a while back and have been considering new ones. I am not adventurous with denim — I get variety out of color rather than trendy style. So if I keep these, it will mean I own AG Harpers in three different washes, as that cut works well for me. Unfortunately the grey is cut smaller than the other washes and I had to size up to achieve this fit. Ideally I could find some grey boyfriend jeans but everything out there is high waisted or super distressed or otherwise not right for me. What do we think of this fit? It fits me basically like the model photo. It’s pretty standard straight leg fit, and not unflattering, and I like the wash — it’s not too pale and is a good grey to go with my wardrobe. Maybe if I lose the 10 lbs I should get rid of, they’ll be more boyfriendy. ;-)</p> <p>I really like the booties! I have to wear fairly substantial socks with them to fill out the heels (I’m having so many problems lately with my heels slipping out of shoes!), but they seem to be comfortable in my wearing around the house so far, and the light sole is a fun change of pace. I love that it’s not stark white but sort of an oysterish color. </p> <p>I added a photo of the booties with black Harper jeans too. I like how the sole picks up light accents in whatever I wear on top. </p>
