Ok - eventually I have to try different trousers, but I'll keep that in mind when looking. :-)

I actually have a pair of black viscose trousers that are sooo comfortable, but I don't wear them often. Maybe it is because of pleats in front. Hmmm - *have to post a photo another time to get a second opinion*

Harmonica - they were completely flat and straight. Definitely no pleats - not good on my body shape.

Meredith1953: Linnen blend - what a great idea! I have decided not to care about wrinkles, but a blend would certainly be the best of two worlds. Very happy for the comment

Transcona Shannon: Condolences to your linnen trousers. Sounds like a very good choice - midrise, wide waistband and lined.

How about pleats? Where they stright down in front or any pleats in front? I can imagine that pleats can be difficult because adding more volume where I want strightness or flat, but inverted pleats might work, or?

ManidipaM,
The cut that Shannon is describing sounds perfect. A linen blend would help decrease wrinkling. Can you simply have some trousers made?

Years ago, I had a beautiful pair of white fully lined linen trousers for summer - they were mid rise with a fairly wide waist band and then fell straight down from the hip. I loved those pants and they were flattering for a petite apple like myself. Unfortunately they died a couple of years go and I haven't been able to find a pair since. Of course linen wrinkles like crazy so you have to be comfortable with that.

Last summer I added linnen trousers to my wish list. In my mind I imagined the light and cool feeling of linnen and I thought if I could find a pair of trousers that looks ok, even with wrinkles, I would be happy. I don't have any hurry to find it, but if I accidentially see some linnen trousers out there, I'd like to know what to look for.

BUT I have no clue what shape to look for or what I should avoid. I just know that I don't like trousers too wide because they seem to make me look smaller (which I really dont need!) And I like some support to avoid muffin top.

Hight 158 cm = 5 feet 2 inch (petite size?)
Weight 61 kg = 134 ibs

Bust 87 cm = 34,3 inch
Below bust 78 cm = 31,5 inch
Waist 80cm = 31,5 inch
Hips 97 cm = 38,2 inch

Do you have any suggestions?
