For me, it just traps heat and cotton is much better. And fall colors.<br /> In warm climates I think " fall- ified" cottons and linen belong, same as having a cashmere or merino sweater in lilac can " spring-ify " the late winter<br /> wardrobe.<br /> I think there are styles that lend themselves more, so I look for that. Jackets like cargo or safari I think look good in fall, in olive or rust or camel, and yet were fine for summer with a white T shirt.<br /> I'm really interested in versatile or transitional pieces that can skew spring OR fall with different other items. Colors, too. Actually, I'd wear linen shirts or blouses all year in any climate, depending on the colr or style. I too, live in the South and I'll wear linen if the temps are still warm. It's still in the 90's here. You need to wear what makes you comfortable and fits the weather.
