It is not soft. But it is not scratchy either, and I am sensitive. Personally, I will wear it instead of a scratchy wool item any day of the week. The colour and drape are gorgeous. The fabric is quite unique. I bought a sparkle&nbsp;sweater in Dec at JCPenney after Angie's Ensemble post about them. Love the look but I MUST wear a turtle or blouse or something underneath.</p> <p>This one looks like&nbsp;an underlayer&nbsp;would be harder to do since it looks more fitted.</p> <p>Glad you read the reviews first.
