I thought about dye, as many others on the forum have used for leather, but followed Vix's suggestion on another thread to use the cream. She (or someone else?) commented about the Tarrago dye peeling off. I think this way the cream can just be reapplied if there is a scuff. The color is just so happy. They're not leather but rather a reflective fabric. I'll probably wear them with white and blue denim. I'd love to take them to the meet up in Boston but I think they're too new to chance for an all day<br /> excursion.<br /> The other two pictures are a before and after of a pair of red Aerosoles loafers. They needed polishing and I had a hankering for orange shoes. I followed Vix's lead and used Tarrago shoe cream after stripping what color I could with acetone. There wasn't a way to work around the stitching so it is now orange too. The toe shape is certainly outdated, but they'll still get some wear.</p> <p>ETA waiting in the doctor's office with my mom. There is a woman here wearing skinnies, black three buckle/strap ankle boots, black turtleneck and leather jacket. Geek chic glasses and sassy short haircut. She would look cuter yet with her pants rolled up! </p>
