If it isn't sueded, leather is easy to keep clean.
First, I'm messy and I don't generally wear white because I destroy it. But I do ride a motorcycle and my white leather jacket was one of my favorites. It was super easy to keep clean, I just wiped it down with a leather cleaner/conditioner as needed. I took off a lot of bugguts and road grime and the jacket held up great.

No advice but just wanted to say how lovely you would look in the lighter colour.

If it's the "closed" kind of leather, where the colour is almost a thin layer of its own, as a messy RATE type I'd be concerned about the colour wearing off on the shoulder where my bag hangs, and even colour transfer if I wore certain purses. Better to carry a hand bag/clutch that doesn't go on the shoulder.

Adding, even if it is an open pore leather it can easily be sprayed with a protectant (cadillac, kiwi are two brands) and this will help immensely with the stain factor. I have a yellow purse that went from impossibly delicate and hard to keep clean to awesome can even make it through a light rain by application of the cadillac spray.

I guess it depends on your lifestyle...Angie is obviously able to keep white things, although I would have to think twice, being a bit of a klutz and easy to distract. Because of my coloring though, I would still go for white....how does the neutral one look with your coloring?

If you are not set on it being real leather, this is a *gorgeous* jacket. I tried it on (fits true to size) and almost bought it. It is beautiful and the price point is amazing - it looks at least twice as expensive.
I can't comment on the endurance issue, but this price point probably makes a light jacket much easier to swallow, east least for me.

I have a white leather jacket too - and it has appeared on YLF many times. Exhibit A.

It is a WORKHORSE and I have had it for five years. It has not been professionally cleaned once. It still looks new, and I travel with it all the time. The blush moto has been worn a lot this year too. It has not got a mark on it.

I wear lots of white - coats, jackets, bags, tops, shirts, jeans, trousers, footwear - and they all look pristine. I am careful though. And take good care of my things. I am a very neat and tidy person so this is not a stretch for me. I also do not wear foundation or dark lipstick so I don't get make-up on my clothes.

Furthermore, I don't think things get as dirty as you think if you are mindful about it. My white jeans get quite dirty - and little paw prints are inevitable - but that's what the laundry cycle is for.

I vote go for it.

Do you know if it is (for lack a a better word) open or closed leather? I.e. does a water drop soak in or bead up? If it soaks in, I fear the jacket will be hard to keep from many stains. If it beads up a tad, you will be able to keep it clean easier.

Rae's rae, and Anglie's blush moto leather jackets are truly lust-worthy... but how do they wear??? do they mark, get dirty etc etc... I have the choice of ONE leather jacket, dark or a beautiful pale nude that even the girls in the stores are drooling over... and there is a flash 25% off sale... I am just not sure of endurance... your thoughts?
