Hi Deborah,
All these toppers sound great, look forward to your pics.
I am enjoying wearing lighter coloured pants this Summer too, and the light blue will go with most.
A black top could always be 'broken-up' with one of your pendant necklaces if you feel it is too contrast-y.

Thank you so much for the suggestions:). You guys are amazing! I hadn't considered red but really like the ideal. I got up this morning and put some pieces together on the bed and thanks to you I know see I have at least 5 toppers that will work with these pants, including cobalt, orange/coral, white, grey and of course black.

Harmonica you have a great memory! Yes I have a black and a coral open weave summer weight sweaters and both would work:)

Now I am much more excited to try these:). I have a Fashion Week 2013 meeting Friday so if its not to hot will try them with a coral top and will post some pics:).

I love the color! I understand your hesitation, I've only gotten brave enough for *dark* colored skinnies, but these are such a great color they'd tempt me!

My first thought was to start by pairing them with white, but I think a mix of black and white with these could be really terrific on you. I think these could play very nicely with all your great graphic black and white, and even a bit of red!

I love the idea of aqua and navy with touches of chartreuse, white or yellow.
With a white top and red accents (oooh, I love this one)
With a super-saturated orange tank (with lots of red undertones) and a stark white light weight cotton cardi (hip length).
With a silver/gray (non-metallic) top with white and or charcoal accents (you could use bright red or cobalt as an accent with this color combination)

Clearly I love aqua. I hope you have fun with them -- I can't wait to see what you do with a pair of aqua skinnines!

i like the light blue and you've already got good advice. didn't you get two open knitted tops a couple of months ago? i think that might be a good shot.

I think straight black may be a bit difficult to pull off, unless the material were somewhat gauzy or floaty or mesh-like (silk, say? or a more open knit or lace?).

But black-and-white combinations and prints should work very well. So should most greens and blues, including navy (which you wear so well), and of course pretty much all greys and whites.

A soft coral or peach or blush pink would be nice... but that's adding colour to colour, and I'm not sure if you want to go there?

For footwear, metallics, white, navy, grey, tan/nude, green seem like obvious choices. Possibly red as well, as long as the top were neutral or in the cooler part of the spectrum... (Warmer shades on top would look more like a sunset, which might again be a bit out of your comfort zone?)

In keeping with your style I would try an optic white top with either red or black and white accessories. I think the colour is saturated enough to work with the graphic pieces in your wardrobe.

Deborah, that's a great colour for jeans/pants, a little experimental but in a good way. White flowy tunic top would look great with it. Maybe a beaded necklace and a pair of strappy sandals for spring/summer. Alternatively, you could wear a red kimono/bat wing top with it. You could also pair it with a cobalt blue top.

Hi Gorgeous Ladies,

I'm back from our break and enjoying another 3 weeks before I have to go back to work (yippee...I love being on holiday even if it is just hanging around at home).

While in Venus Bay last week we came upon a fab store that had clothing, accessories, home wears etc. My friend stocked up on scarves and I bought a pair of cobalt Ponti skinny pants. Long story short, the owner gifted me with a pair of the same pants in a light blue (almost the same as the ones in #1).

I like them but I am only just getting used to wearing light coloured bottoms by way of my white straight leg jeans.

Any suggestions on how I might wear them? I wouldn't tuck so oversized or draped tops would probably be my choice. But what colours would you wear with the light blue? Would black be too much of a contrast? And footwear? What colour footwear would work here?? Clearly I'm feeling a little out of my comfort zone:)

Any thoughts or suggestions much appreciated.

Happy Monday!

xxxDeborah
