It makes me want to punch a wall!</p> <p>I second the kid size recommendations and there's a type of microfiber-bamboo combo black sock at Walmart (of all places) that actually were wonderful. My foot is on the smaller end of the spectrum (but bigger than yours) and I noticed that socks with bamboo twist and slip like crazy. I gave all of mine to my size 9 foot daughter who loves them and has no problem keeping them on.&nbsp;</p> <p>I ended up picking up some washable wool socks at Costco last year and they are my faves--cushy and fairly snug fitting. They are piling but I figure no one sees them but me.
